More Cabin Reveal!

I was afraid to post these photos, but things are going along so swimmingly well that it looks like we will close on July 3rd.

I have uploaded photos to a photo album….some from our first look early spring before leaves, and of our last visit.

This should give you a good idea of why I am in love with this place!

If you can’t view the slide show , click the image below to go directly to the album.

The nice thing is most furnishings will be included.  We can take our time replacing items with what we really want….

SO EXCITED!!

Sorry if you get tired of hearing about this cabin again and again and again and again....but I just can't contain myself on this dream!

Cabin!!

Today I hope to get that Elna Grasshopper out of its army green case and see about getting it up and sewing! SO FUN!

  4. Just a rustic cabin in the woods...NOT!! It is beautiful! You have good reason to be so excited.Yes it is in need of some quilts everywhere but that will come with time. Can't wait for quilt cam at the new cabin.

  5. It all looks and sounds great Bonnie! The furnishings look very nice. Once you put some of your quilts on the beds and walls, it will transform into "your" cabin. I bet you will end up liking some of the furniture more once it becomes yours. And won't your antique mall browsing be more fun when you have a mountain cabin to decorate/furnish.....Congratulations (almost!)!

I was just thinking that all it needs is some quilts on the walls to make it all yours Bonnie... and of course, all the parking space! that is really a bonus... just sitting on the porch and looking at the scenery and the mountains... what an inspiration.. so how long will it be before you have a new quilt designed with your new home in mind?

You are so right about making memories. Like you I turned 50 in last couple years. I live in KY, dear aunt and uncle from Florida have a summer retreat in western NC. For the last 40 years I have spent summers there off and on. I have memories there as a child and so do my grown children. Their house is much like yours minus those spiral staircases. Beautiful country. Enjoy! Did you ever say? How close did you get it from home? I know you were trying to keep it around 2 hours. I think this is wonderful for you and your family.

I love the staircase and all the fireplaces. The kitchen is wonderful too, but if I had a cabin like that, I'd just sit on the porch all day, enjoying the view and sewing my heart out.

  37. Bonnie- The "cabin" looks like a dream come true, nd very familiar to me... My husband and I just installed hardwood floors in a home with the exact same exterior footprint, and probably the same floorplan, and I fell in love with those decks while we were working there. The home we were working in was in a similar landscape in WV, so I can imagine how peaceful and relaxing your getaways will be! Hopefully it is close enough to your home that you willl get the chance to enjoy it often! congrats again!
