iPhone-o-Gram! Really?!?!?

At the grocery store –

Doesn't the slogan go something like "no one can eat just one!"?

How about – can't stand the thought of eating just one!?

Chicken and waffles flavor? Really?

Whatever happened to just good old plain potato chips? :-)

Thanks to this little bag, I passed by the whole section untouched and headed over to the fruits and veggies instead!

Better on my budget, better on my belly – and need I say – better on my breath! :-)

  1. Not a flavor I would consider either!! Hubster loves the salt and vinegar and I can eat several different varieties, but this will not be on my 'to buy' list. I use flavored chips, crushed, to coat my haddock when I bake it. The cheddar is my favorite flavor.

  2. I saw those at the grocery store and thought the same thing. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's a flavor the world can live without.

  3. I heard those were coming, and I so agree - yuck!

  4. This is one of four new flavors that's only available for a short time. They were proposed by regular people and out of hundreds submitted, they narrowed it to 4 to test. The one that sells the best will become a permanent new flavor. YUCK! I'm not likely to try any of the four. Enjoy your fruit. Lane

  5. Lays is testing 3 new flavors. I vote for having an apple instead.

  6. i thought the same thing too..until the Lay's guy said they are selling like hotcakes! (No pun intended.) So....we bought a bag...and my boys (both wrestlers) like them. They aren't too bad actually.

  12. I am a personal fan of a plate of Chicken and Waffles and had no problem trying these. The only problem - husband got hold of the bag and I only got a taste. It is a nice mix of sweet and salty. I did prefer the cheesy garlic bread ones. Quite tasty.

  14. Oh my, not quite to my taste either.. BBQ or plain is just fine with me, I don't think I am brave enough to even try these... But thanks for the laugh!

  15. Just reading that made my stomach flip! UGH! When we DO get chips they are plain ... totally plain ... the way God intended them to be! LOL

  17. Not too long ago there was a contest with naming a new flavor. I guess this is the result. There were several different strange flavors on the shelf this week.

  18. Eeeew! You folks come up with more weird ways to eat chips...

But, dear, lest you feel too self-righteous, is that a one-legged chicken I see before me?! ;-)

Love what you do! And YES I voted!

  20. There's a cafe in SC that serves the best chicken and waffles on Earth. Comes with a Carolina mustard sauce/syrup. Bless them.

All grocery store chips are disturbing to me. Seem more like a food by-product than something to eat. I would use those chips to keep local cats out of my flowerbeds.

Homemade chips are wonderful. I would arm wrestle for them.

  21. I wouldn't buy a bag myself, but if someone offered to share I'd probably try it just for the sake of trying something new.

  22. played with fabrics all day at my Quilt Buddy's studio. Showed her how you put your 9-patch together for the Sister's Choice. She said she had seen it before. I learned a new way watching you on Quilt Cam. I'll share it at my Guild sometime. Do you care if your 9-patches are positive or negative?

  24. Hmm chicken on waffles must be a regional thing .....perhaps a Southern USA thing similar to grits with breakfast
I am a California girl I have heard of chicken and waffles but I don't really understand how it is served and eaten.
Today I didn't eat much as I am busy trying to get doll quilts quilted and bound for my granddaughter s birthday party she has invited her friends with their American Girl Dolls for a sleep over as a party favor she's giving each friend a small doll quilt .
She came up with the idea and we shopped for fabrics we cut out the quilts she did sew and quilt one . The rest I am quilting and binding as I just don't get enough time to sew with her to get them done in time for her birthday

  26. I have not tried these and probably will not but the person who came up with this idea and presented it to Lays is from the Phoenix area. It is my understanding that there is a restaurant in Phoenix that serves waffles and chicken and it is a big hit. I also understand that someone in the NYC area (and other people in other areas - probably in the South) has a restaurant that specializes in this meal. I personally cannot imagine the combination.

  28. Oh, but they're really good! It's more like a southern thing, but they are a big hit in other places, too. They taste like syrup! Yum!
Lays also has cheesy garlic bread flavor, and a new spicy one I passed up.
