It's so exciting to do a repeat book signing at tiny stitches in Marietta, Georgia!
When I arrived – the store had just about sold out of every thing as part of a big sale yesterday on Super Bowl Sunday –
Which was going to leave very few books for the book signing!
Never fear – we got started with a short little show of quilts – and low and behold a certain big brown truck pulled up right outside the door of where I was speaking.
Yes! UPS saves the day :-) the books were quickly unpacked and the book signing continued – until all of the books where completely gone once again.
Tiny stitches is a great shop! And I have more pictures to show later when I'm not doing it from my phone. :-)
Shown in the blurry photo below is me standing next to Maetha, the shop owner!
As for now – I am hightailing it back to Alpharetta for a lecture and trunk show tonight!

I read online that your book signing was from 2 - 4 p.m. I high-tailed it out of the shower to get to Tiny Stitches by 3:30 - and you were gone! Cannot express my disappointment! Another woman in the store confirmed that she had also seen it listed until 4 p.m. not 3 p.m.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your book!
ReplyDeleteI was there several years ago...great shop. I think Little Quilts is pretty close and that is a fun shop too.
ReplyDeleteGreat timing on the UPS delivery and how cool that all the books sold!
ReplyDeleteBonnie, I've been reading your blog for years, and just wanted to say how much I especially enjoy the slide shows of your workshops. The fabrics people choose and put together are always so interesting. I learn so much! I know it must be a lot of work taking all the photos, editing them, and posting them, but just wnated you to know (once again) that your efforts are so appreciated! Thanks! Now come back to Charleston, SC!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved Tiny Stitches last time I visited (about 5-6 years ago) - may have to come up with an excuse to return to Marietta soon for a visit! Thank you for posting pics from your trip...
ReplyDeleteI love Tiny Stitches, Red Hen, Little Quilts, Sweet Home Quilt Company and Intown Quilts...all in the Atlanta area. I feel privileged to live close to such quilting awesomeness. Sure wish I could have come to see you yesterday. Glad you had fun!!
ReplyDeleteI was just at that store on Saturday! We were doing our own shop hop for a friend's birthday . Hope you have a great trip!
ReplyDeleteDid you schedule that UPS truck?????
ReplyDeleteMy friend, Laura, received her book tonight. Thanks so much for mailing so promptly!!!
XOXOXO Subee
Sometimes timing is everything! I am glad that the big brown truck made your day, your fans day and the shops day a happier day! That is great news! Cheers! Evelyn
