I've arrived in Lexington! What a gorgeous day for a drive through the mountains!
I've unloaded the car. I even took a short walk to scout out my surroundings.
Tonight I sew! I brought Doris the FW with me and a couple of projects!
But first---must track down dinner.
Here's a humble string star I found while antique wrangling! More to come tomorrow :)

I love the pink background. You always find such neat things Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteI agree! Love the pink background and the hints of pink in the stars! Great quilt! Does it match the sewing machine you checked out this morning?
ReplyDeleteYes ... what about the sewing machine you were going to inspect? A new member of your "stable"???
ReplyDeleteSee you tomorrow night.

ooooohhhh... PRETTY!~ even has Baptist Fan quilting.. from what I can tell. Really neat! Remember to not pass up good deals on quilts that you could bring in an extra bag to AU!~~~ They LUV antique quilts and always looking for them. NOt many survived there, the few that existed. Shipping is so expensive. I'd bring an extra bag full with me!~ A win/win.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see you in the morning! Thank you for coming! And thank you to the guild that asked you. I won't be able to sleep tonight.

Love your finds - California doesn't seem to have such neat Antique shops at least that I can find. Diana
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt and I feel totally inspired!I so enjoy your finds! I recently ventured into an Antique shop because of your posts. I found some quilts the shopkeep said were quilted by her great grandmother over 100 years ago. They were thread bare in spots, and stained, but I loved the use of scraps! One was a a scrappy diamonds, and the other a drunkard's path.
