Rain-Check on QuiltCam!

I'm happy with the amount of studio re-org and treadle setting-up that got done today.

We are just now finished with dinner -- it's 8:51 pm as I type this.

You guys -- I'm done in!  I'm not even sure I have the energy for One Hour of Needle & Thread time, which I was hoping for.
I have a proposal ---A rain check!

And hoping to catch the Europeans during their day time for a change, how about we do QuiltCam time tomorrow ((Sunday)) afternoon around 2pm  eastern time?

That might just get me off their black list.  Though there have been a couple ladies who emailed saying they had set their alarms for 2am so they can get up and watch QuiltCam.  Crazy!

So tomorrow at 2pm eastern time it is ---hopefully that will work for you and for many.
I'm going to call it an early night and catch up on some missing sleep.

  6. Good girl, Bonnie. Get a good rest and enjoy a quiet evening. Your cleaned up sewing room will get to stay that way for that much longer. :)

  7. Get some well deserved rest girl! I've made some good progress on my project from your workshop...and I finished piecing the back for Michael's quilt (I didn't forget him!)

You deserve a break and the one's in other time zones deserve time with you tomorrow as well.

  9. With all you do, it doesn't surprise me that you need an early night.
I just want you to know that you inspired me to give my treadle another go to get her up and running tonight. When I brought her home 3 years ago from a yard sale she had all kinds of issues and I gave up. After two hours of belt tightening and adjustments she is running and stitching properly. Yay! Persistance pays off!
Your quilt studio looks so great!
    Sleep well.

OK so that works for me Bonnie - if it 4 am Sydney time then it is 6 am Wellington NZ time:) Given I snooze through the 6 am alarm most week day mornings and wasting time, I will get up this time and catch you:)

BTW I will be putting forward a proposal to get agreement from my guild committee to "in principal" agree to host you in October 2016 assuming it can all fit in with you.

I am excited. I have had verbal confirmation from the president an done of the committee members that "it is a great idea".

See ya tomorrow morning - Helen M, NZ

  12. Your tidier studio looks wonderful! It might inspire me to work on mine tomorrow. Then again, maybe not. I have a few small projects that need finished to take with me before I head south for 2 weeks in October. I'll miss Sunday's QuiltCam time again as I'll be in church (those time differences ya know)...but it is good to get a time that works for the Europeans now and then. Maybe I can catch you a day next week. I enjoyed the one session I was able to view.

  13. I was able to get some binding started on a quilt for my Mom tonight. Your studio looks great and I love that you are set up to be able to sew on your treadle machine. The one I have has those tiny spindle bobbins, so I am not sure if I would like using it for very much piecing.
Sweet dreams for you and I'll catch up with you tomorrow.

  15. Yippee....I live on the East Coast but can't stay awake at 8:00 p.m. Now if you were up at 2:00 a.m. on the QuiltCam I would catch you. But a Sunday afternoon......I'm in.
