Green Country Quilters Showin’ and Sharin’!

20150319_202318
Those Oklahoma Quilters really know how to wow an audience!

They brought such wonderful creations to both guild meetings.

Yes, BOTH!

Two different groups, one a Thursday evening where over 100 were in attendance, and a Friday morning group, just as varied nearly out-numbered the first.

This unique arrangement of my Perkiomen Daydreams quilt from Scraps & Shirttails stole the show with its 10,000 1” squares!

Have you made one?  They are so fun to make, I know some quilters, like my friend Jo Kramer of Jo’s Country Junction has made TWO!

Each quilt during show & share was such a delight to see.

So much fabric love ---I could feel it!

Check it out:

Oklahoma Backroads in Oklahoma!

This is a fun one from the free patterns tab at the top of the blog!  It uses 2.5” squares and 2.5” X 4.5” rectanlges…AND gives you a plethora of bonus triangles for a future project or border down the road.

It was definitely fun to see one IN Oklahoma!

Little Lozenges Leader & Ender Challenge!

And these are just the photos from the guild meetings!  I still have photos of MORE Show & Share quilts from our lunch break at today’s Scrappy Mountain Majesties workshop to edit down and share.

I’m just back to my room after a very fun day with a full class of 33 sewing machines humming.

Want a sneak peek at what we got up to?

Too Much Fun!

Check out the green New Home sewing machine –made by Janome in Japan in 1963!  Love the two tone, and the sleek lines!

Shout out to Jackie who was greatly missed!

I’ll be seeing these gals when I visit Missouri in September, and I hope to catch up with Jackie then.

I hope she sees this photo and knows that our thoughts are with her, and that she knows we were thinking of her.

There are loads more photos to edit down, but I’m being picked up for dinner shortly and just wanted to shoot this off quickly.

When we get back – I’m looking forward to more H Block sewing in my room.

I have a mid-afternoon flight out of Tulsa tomorrow, so I can sew until pick up time ---NO ALARM CLOCK REQUIRED!

I’ll be home to Greensboro by 10pm tomorrow night.

But until then ---

I’m………Living on Tulsa Time!

  5. Bonnie thanks for the show and share, it was nice to see all of those pretty quilts, I especially like the last one that is behind you and the ladies at the bottom it matches that gorgeous New Home sewing machine. I love the two tones too. And I love Don Williams, I think that he was playing a Gretsch guitar called the Country Gentlemen if so we have that same guitar. Would love to hear you play your guitar sometime on quilt cam, or just post a video of you playing. My favorite song by Don Williams is Your My Best Friend. But I love all of his songs. Safe travels to you.
