Smile and retreat!
Laugh and sew yourself silly!
Talk and visit and catch up on all the goings on ---
It’s been a year since the last retreat and there is a lot of ground to cover, we don’t want to miss out on ANY of the good stories now, do we?
We gathered yesterday after a yummy breakfast in the dining hall ---back over where the sewing was set up, all 42 retreaters raring and ready to for our Cathedral Stars workshop on Day Two.
We’d done some of these units already – tackling the Easy Angle Ruler and half square triangles in the previous day’s My Blue Heaven workshop –and this gave us a chance to try them in different sizes with different size strips.
We learned some 4 patch tricks! We spun seams!
We had an absolutely fabulous day at Camp Weed in Live Oak, Florida!
Funny!
Getting down to business – she still looks worried!
Some really serious discussion going on!
Who KNOWS what this was about!
Such great blocks, ladies!
Oh yeah, these are going to be great!
And do you see what I see on the back table??
Grand Illusion looking perfectly tropical in Florida!
And another, just waiting for outer border ---
Yeah, Baby! This is going to be FABULOUS!
These Florida ladies got it going on!
Each one so different and so lovely!

I mentioned in my post last night about meeting Stephanie from the Modern Sewciety Podcast! HERE is the link to her page where you can find the archives. SO much to listen to while you work on your projects. I can’t wait to catch up with everyone she has been talking to lately.
Today’s workshop – half day—Boxy Stars!
And then I’ll be loaded up, hauled off to Jacksonville for my flight home.
Tonight – My OWN BED!!
Thank you, Florida – you’ve been a wonderful host, and I’ve loved spending the past couple of weeks in your midst!
looks like you had a fun time and recovered health wise - bet you will be glad to get back to your own bed even if it is for only a little while
