We've got 29 machines humming and 29 ladies sewing string blocks of all different colors for use in their own talkin turkey quilts.
There is yellow, blue, green, purple, black and every other color you could imagine! It is a lot of fun to see what the ladies have brought to sew up today.
There are also a lot of vintage machines in attendance!
Lunch is a delicious potluck – I caught a picture of way too many cooks in the kitchen!
No one is going hungry – and there will soon be a fabulous show and tell to end our lunch., And then we will be back hard at work tackling flying geese with demos for four different ways they can be made-- hopefully is one method that will work for each student!
Much love from all of us in Virginia –
Bonnie.
Everyone looks so happy and do gosh how I love that red.
ReplyDeleteNever a bad Potluck at a Quilter's Gathering, unless it's all Vegan.
ReplyDeleteI see Lozenges in that border, huh??? You have a great bunch of quilters playing there.
I just saw that your episode on the Quilt Show will air May 12! Looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteHave someone take you to Pierce's Pit Barbecue, a family run business, while you are there. They are known all over the country, especially among the long-haul truck drivers. In the old days, they used to park their trucks on the side of the interstate and hop the fence to get their fix!
ReplyDeleteYou all look to be having so much fun. Even though the red is pretty and much the favorite of a lot of people, the green just got me. Love the green!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! Your beautiful book arrived today. Thanks so much! I just love it!
ReplyDeleteAs usual, the pictures record the fact that your quilty excitement is contagious. It always energizes me just to see it happening, thanks, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteHad a great time today. Learned some little tips that will make me a better quilter, plus enjoyed the peace of sewing and the break from work!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great day and what fun color combinations we had in play!!!!!!!!!!
