Galaxy-Gram! Blue Heavens in Champaign!

My Blue Heaven class is in full swing today in champagne, Illinios!

The Illini County stitchers and traveling quilters from all over have joined with us today to sew up the scraps.

There are red heavens, purple heavens, Green heavens, and even batik heavens in the works!
Everything we are doing comes from 2 1/2" inch strips, thanks to the easy angle ruler and the companion angle ruler.

After class today we will get setup for tonight's lecture, grab a quick bite to eat, and the fun will continue!

Temps are in the low 70 s, sunny, with gentle breezes blowing. Another beautiful day and a great state of Illinois!

  4. Such pretty scraps to play with at the workshop! been attempting to find my way through the pile that has accumulated over the last couple of months-guess there are more HST's in my future as there are many scraps that are able to be cut into them! Guess that will be the "never ending project...."

  6. I love the table for the 301a. Do you think it was handmade or was it purchased. I love, love, LOVE my 301a and would really like that table. I have the long bed, but I like the front extension...

  7. What a fun group that looks like! You've been busy...I was checking out the free patterns tab as I am planning a baby boy quilt and I noticed you were able to finish getting the links all up to date with pictures. Thank you so much! You are so generous with your time.

  9. Such beautiful photos! Bigger and clearer too - something changed? That area is close to our home town, and we were stationed for couple years at Chanute AFB, our second daughter was born there. Lots of memories! Glad you're enjoying it, class sure looks like fun. Every class you show I want to start that quilt, have too many started now!

  10. It is a fun group! Bonnie made it so much fun! The main machine used in the classes were Featherweights! I love mine! It is perfect for classes! The table for the 301 was handmade, and as handy as a pocket on a shirt! Chanute AFB closed 20 years ago. Very sad to see the empty buildings still there.
