Show & Share with the Lakeview Quilt Guild!

Houston_TX2014 079
I’m back tracking a bit!

My days have been full and busy, moving from one place to another ---and there are some photos I want to share from my Monday night visit with the Lakeview Quilt Guild in Houston, Texas!

We had a great crowd, and they meet in a beautiful church with a large area great for gathering – stage, great lighting, sound system ---what a nice venue.

When the ladies lined up for show and share, I knew we were in for a treat.

Some of the photos are blurry – it’s hard to capture moving targets!

My students showed what they had accomplished in our Blue Ridge Beauty class earlier in the day:

I’m so proud of all of them!

You can see more of the photos from that workshop in THIS POST.

Check out the awesome backing on this one!

This one, by Tanya is “Celtic Solstice Takes a Detour!”

Tanya says about her quilt:

“ Thanks for a wonderful day. I always love seeing your quilts, and listening to your enthusiasm. Thanks for posing with my Version of Celtic Solstice. This is my 25th Anniversary quilt. We were married on St. Patty's day in 1989. Hubby's birthstone is Emerald and my favorite colors are yellow, orange, and pink. i had been collecting Shamrock fabrics for years. No it is not big enough to use as a bed quilt or fancy but, I wanted it to be a utility quilt and used everyday as a throw.”

Love it!

She had a great time turning the units into her own variation  ---look what happens when we give ourselves the freedom to PLAY!

Thanks, Ladies for sharing all of your beautiful quilts with me!

And there is more to come!

I'm packing tonight for an early departure to San Antonio -- gotta battle Houston traffic in the morning ---it's early to bed for me!
