Just imagine my wide-eyed surprise and delight when I walked into my classroom this morning to find Sandra's gorgeous shiny cherry tomato red Singer 301!
So I can't wait to send in my beat up black 301 nicknamed ugly Betty – she so wants to be purple!
Isn't she yummy?! :-)

Stunning! Sew many colors, sew little time!
ReplyDeleteHot momma! What fun!
ReplyDeleteThere is something on you website above these comments that I don't think should be there it say Enter Now! In the Raw Forbidden Pleasure Just thought you might want to know, but love the machine and purple would be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhere do we send them to have them redone? Does this person have a website?
ReplyDeleteI am a bit curious, what does it cost to do a paintjob like that in the US?? Saw your cam the other day for the first time, a bit unsynked for me but nice to get a look, as it is usually not in a good timeslot for me. /Petra in Gothenburg, Sweden
ReplyDeleteAlso an add for Russian Women on the upper left, just so you know
ReplyDeletenice!
ReplyDeleteLove the red, but purple is my favorite color. Can't wait to see what yours will look like.
ReplyDeleteI am on the hunt for a 301a. It was the machine that I learned to sew on, and I loved that machine. It was the best machine I ever sewed on. I hope to be able to replace it some day.
Love love love it!!! Has Sandra named her?
ReplyDeleteFunny I don't see any of those words or ads, just an ad for ramen noodles! Ha ha, my level of excitement!
ReplyDeleteWhere do you send it to get it painted? Would love to know a good source.
ReplyDeleteShe is Tomatalicious!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! Looks like a red sports car!! Zoom Zoom
ReplyDeleteLove the RED! Hmmm, my ads seem to be of things I've looked at recently. I think it is different in whatever part of the country you are in. They sure are random.
ReplyDeleteWe have 3 featherweights in the family. They were bought all at the same time for my Mom, her sister, and their mother. I have my Mom's - might have to send it in for a hot red paint job. Just love that!! Sue K
ReplyDeleteBonnie has no control over the ads that you see.

here is the link for Gerald the featherweight painter: it's from Bonnie's blog

Usually the ads are based on recent searches you've made from your computer. For example, I ordered my daughter brightly colored Avia shoes for Christmas and now every shoe seller in the world has an ad on every page I go to! LOL (Who else uses your computer?)
ReplyDeleteOh...and mine would be turquoise all the way! Love the repainted oldies, as long as they are not in mint or near mint prior to painting. :)
ReplyDeleteI am a purest and would never paint my two tone 301, or if she needed it, it would be the orginal colors. This almost seems to me to take their id away, as well as their value as a vintage machine. To each her own though, it is fun seeing the eye popping colors. LOVE that 301 so much that I bought a second one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteLoving the red.
ReplyDeleteWowser! Great machine. Hope the class was fun!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is one kool machine...Luv it
ReplyDeleteI want one! I really do!
ReplyDeleteOooh that's a lovely shade of red!!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Corvette yellow.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Corvette yellow.
ReplyDeleteCute!!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Bonnie, always following your works, congratulations and a Happy New Year 2013!!
Gotta find an old machine, but where?
ReplyDeleteLove it.
ReplyDeleteOh my! Red. Purple. So many great colors and so many more to choose from. Happy stitching.
