Not that I like “ALL” things smelly --- but antique featherweight case kind of smelly I can live with!
To me it just smells "old" but not bad --
((hopefully my grandkids will say the same thing about me when I'm 80 something..LOL!))
I received an email from Marky last week saying that she had a featherweight case that she had tried to de-fragrance-itize to no avail. And the smell bothers her, and she didn’t want to put her featherweight back IN the case because she’d finally gotten it to the point that it didn’t smell LIKE the case anymore ---
Would I like to adopt her case? Did I have a use for it?
YES! I have been one case short because the white 1964 featherweight I bought came without a case – when I picked it up in the antique mall in Twin Falls, Idaho more than 12 years ago, it was in a plastic file folder box. I transferred it to a portable soft sided cooler with a shoulder strap and front pockets which has worked really well ---but it’s nice to have a case for it should I decide to ever sell it.
I know the white featherweights came with a green/cream case ---but any case is better than no case!
The bracket for the foot control is there – no tray, but guess what? I have a tray on the broken case that had no lid that came with Missy the Magic Bus…..and that can go with THIS case!
There are cases enough to go around.
Right now, Doris is the case-less one because I used HER case to take Missy the Magic Bus in to get her timing adjusted….
Doris in the case!
I put Doris in the new case to try it out ----voila!
PS ---anyone up for Quilt-Cam tonight? I’ve got guys here doing the front and back doors, but that will be long done by the time 9pm Eastern rolls around. Not sure what I want to work on yet, but I’ll grab something…
