Time for Robin Place Fabrics!

Soldotna is very lucky to have a lovely quilt shop right here in town.

Yesterday after class, we had some time before dinner and setting up for the evening lecture & trunk show to make a visit!

How could you miss the gorgeous Glacier Star in the front window?  And those blooming pots of flowers….I love Alaska in the summer, The colorful cascades of of vibrant blooms everywhere you turn!

They specialize in batiks, gorgeous Asian prints, delightful modern fabrics, and Alaskana!  The perfect place to pick up fabrics, patterns and kits as souvenirs of your great adventure here on the Last Frontier!

  1. The quilt in the upper left of the first picture is based on a picture by Barbara Lavalle. She does such wonderful, colorful pictures of native Alaska women and children. She autographed her book "Painted Ladies" for me when I was in Alaska years ago. What a great shop! Thanks for sharing.
