Day three at Quiltmaker's Block Party is Midnight Flight!
Some of the ladies are repeats from other classes we've had this week but many are new!
It's really fun to see what fabrics and colors they are pulling together and how great their blocks and quilts are going to be!
Stay tuned for tomorrow's slide shoe--all we've amassed at this point is a handful of four patches and a bunch if half square triangles.
After lunch we mi e on to diamond in a rectangle type units and block quarters will start coming together!

This is the first time you are teaching midnight flight I think? I am so excited to see what the ladies will make of it. This is one of my favorite quilts. Looks like I have to wait until your book comes out in 2014. Happy sewing.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see your photos of these classes, I thank my lucky stars I am not cleaning up the rooms with all the fabric snippets and threads on the floor. What's with all the carpets in these places . Isn't laminate the way to go with quilters? Btw. I am excited that you are coming to the PNW. I am in BC and that would be totally doable!

Bonnie, I'm just catching up on your recent blogs. I'm glad you enjoyed your lunch at the Cheese Shoppe. I think those dessert bars must be fairly new because I've never seen them there before. I think I see a trip to the Shoppe in my near future! The classes you are teaching look like such fun. I've missed out twice now when you've been in this area. Maybe third time will be the charm! On your way out of town, if it's not too early in the day, may I suggest you get directions from the people at the inn to Pearce's Pit Barbecue - it is the best! Even long distance truckers are known to park their rigs on the side of I64 and hop the fence for lunch or dinner, and we know these guys know all the best places to eat!
