I’m tucked into my room in Fort Myers, Florida! What a whirlwind day----I am forcing myself to stay UP til 9pm at least – I don’t want to wake up at 3am again and I will if I go to sleep too early.
I just found this freebie and wanted to pass it on to you while it is still free, it might not be by morning, as often happens if I wait –--- so here you go!
I guess I am on a WWII era kick especially after seeing “Red Tails” with DH yesterday ((Was it only just yesterday? It feels like a week ago and so far away already ---that is the tiredness talking.))
Chasing Mona Lisa, by Tricia Goyer and Mike Yorkey, is free in the Kindle store and from Barnes & Noble.
Book Description:
It is August 1944 and Paris is on the cusp of liberation. As the soldiers of the Third Reich flee the Allied advance, they ravage the country, stealing countless pieces of art. Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring will stop at nothing to claim the most valuable one of all, the Mona Lisa, as a post-war bargaining chip to get him to South America. Can Swiss OSS agents Gabi Mueller and Eric Hofstadler rescue DaVinci's masterpiece before it falls into German hands?
With nonstop action, Chasing Mona Lisa is sure to get readers' adrenaline pumping as they join the chase to save the most famous painting in the world. From war-ravaged Paris to a posh country chateau, the race is on--and the runners are playing for keeps.

As for me – this is how I enjoyed my late February Florida evening:
I sat out on the balcony until darkness overtook everything, and I forced myself to go back inside.
Guess what came with me? My Florabunda blocks, of course! I think I’ll set up the featherweight and see if I can get some stitching done to some NCIS!
Can't wait to get to Florida!!! Is it wonderful?? I know what ya mean about staying up and not going to bed too early, soya don't wake up in the middle of the night! Have fun and dont sleep too late in the morning!
ReplyDeleteLove that shot from your balcony! I look from my balcony into a snowy scene. Enjoy!!

What a beautiful picture - all muted except for the colored sail and the American flag!! Georgeous. Do you get NCIS tonight? Ours doesn't come on until tomorrow night. One of my favorite programs.
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks like you have a great room with an awesome view! Relax and enjoy your time there.
ReplyDeleteDo you take your Featherweight on as a check-in or does it go in luggage?
