And the Winner is….
Carol Hodges from Apex North Carolina is the winner of the SLS Retreat challenge!
Great job, Carol!
If you missed the info on the challenge, you can find that post HERE.
I wasn’t on hand for the reveal of the winner – I was on a plane headed to Boise, and I really missed not being there for the last workshop day at retreat, and getting a chance to spend just a few more hours with these lovely ladies.
They are all well on their way home now, and I wish them save travels to their homes and families. I can’t wait until we can do this again!
I made it to Boise by noon!
My cute mom!
We were headed to my brother Mike’s house for a family cook out, but of course, we needed a stop at the grocery store to pick up just a few things.
How would you know that my mom is my mom if you saw her walking through the grocery store?
Simple! Take a look at her shirt:
I spy hexies!
My handsome brother mike manned the grill!
And he doesn’t just grill, he gardens like nobody’s business. He made the best batch of awesome salsa with tomatoes, onions, peppers, cilantro and garlic all from his own garden. I stood there and talked to him, watching him chop. So fun to be here in person.
But we filled in as much love as we could as Sunday afternoon was the only time we could fit a family visit in because my brothers and their wives have jobs and lives and we know how that goes!
Grandma reading to Elizabeth and Jaxon!
I love this photo!
And isn’t baby Jax just the sweetest?
Oh those feet!
Oh those chubber legs!
Yes, he is daddy’s boy!
My brothers and me. Family.
I’m up in Garden Valley Idaho with my mom for the next few days. Temps this morning? Oh, 50 at 8am!!
BLISS!
The plan is simply NOT to plan. Just be and do as we feel fit.
Family.
This is what it’s all about.
Have a wonderful Monday, everyone!
So fun to be able to catch a little time with family, quality not quantity counts! Just wondering how Mark is doing? I know we are not "real" family but we are Quiltville family and by extension....he is still on my prayer list every day! Working on Garden Party today, goal is 10 blocks before I can move on to current project full-time. loved the yellow and blue from Plano but I am still a red girl at heart!
ReplyDeleteSounds heavenly. Lovely family. And Idaho sounds much nicer than Arizona (or NC) in August.
ReplyDeleteWould you be mad if I said your mother is cuter than you? Love the three on the floor with all the feet. Enjoy!
