Double Tropical Twist Days!

20170629_161205
This was yesterday’s group 2 of stitching fun!

I have loved spending 3 days in the Columbus, Ohio area, catching up with folks I’ve met before, meeting new ones, and even hugging some surprise visitors who never let me know they were coming – Debi, all the way from Bloomington, Illinois!

I tell you what, every day is an adventure, and I do wake up in the morning just wondering what treasures each new day is going to present to me.

It’s really true, whatever you look for, you will find.

The Tropical Twist pattern found its way into Quiltmaker Magazine somewhere around 2009 I believe.  And it sat in my closet until the Addicted to Scraps book came along.  A cross between Star Struck and Weed Whacker, it’s a super sized very easy quilt that packs a lot of punch.  And punch it up we did!

Strip storage drawers, anyone??

These stacked sterlite drawers hold 2” strips perfectly!  Oh, our community charged OCD was in hyper drive!

The vintage machines came out to play -

This one saved from a curb-side trash pick up fate by a daughter who knew her mother would take her in!

The best part by far was the networking and friendship building!

Last night’s dinner out at City BBQ!

This morning I’m on my way home.  And I’ll be home just for a short time, as in barely overnight.

Jeff & The Hubster are picking me up by 4:30pm, dropping me at home and they are headed straight to the cabin in Virginia tonight so they can get an early start back on the man-shed building.

I’m going to get some business stuff and some mail order stuff sorted out this evening and tomorrow morning, and drop that off at post office closing time tomorrow at noon and head on up to the cabin myself for the long 4th of July weekend as well.

I left all of my project stuff up there when I came home on Monday, I knew I’d be heading right back.

There are Leader & Ender challenge details to nail down – our release for that is very SOON!!

Quiltville Quote of the Day!

Leader & Ender Split 9 Patch quilt shared during yesterday's workshop.

I've seen this happen again and again throughout my life. The universe often knows better, and it's best not to fight it and just go with it!

Reliable info about her. Before I trek out to see her, thought I'd ask -you never know!
