A while back I participated in a blog tour for Catherine Redford’s Modern Machine Quilting, the DVD!
It was so very well received by so many that with a push, a shove, and a gentle nudge, Catherine has listened to her readers and students alike and expanded upon the Modern Machine Quilting DVD for those who would like a BOOK on the subject!
The book has easy to follow chapters, full color photos and recipes for wonderful styles of quilting that you can easily give to your own quilts – all on your DOMESTIC SEWING MACHINE! No long-arm required!
Learn about threads, battings, machine feet and more.
You know you want to be able to do this - you just don't know where to start.
Start here!
A Fresh Approach to Fresh Quilting!
The breakdown of techniques are beautifully shown with great photos!
Clean lines, bold colors, contemporary designs--quilting has gone modern! And this book is the ultimate guide for creating modern quilts at home, all on a standard sewing machine.
Catherine, going “hands on!” at a book signing near Chicago!
From the start, award-winning quilter and teacher Catherine Redford guides you through every stage of planning, constructing, and finishing a quilt.
Learn a multitude of crisp walking foot designs, including straight lines, matchstick, grids, serpentine, spirals, and more.
You can do THIS!
Explore more than a dozen techniques and patterns for free-motion designs. You'll find inspiration in the gorgeous quilt gallery, while the simple projects provide the perfect canvases for fun and useful quilting practice.
Catherine will show you how!
Who wants to win a copy of Modern Machine Quilting??
Catherine has graciously offered up one copy of her beautiful book to one of my lucky blog readers! I know you are wanting to learn machine quilting on your own machine, and with this book as your guide, you’ll be turning out beautiful COMPLETED quilts in no time.
To sweeten the deal even MORE, Catherine has also offered to gift a SECOND copy to a lucky reader who heads over to HER BLOG and leaves a comment to be entered IN HER DRAWING. Please be sure to tell her that Bonnie sent you and why you are leaving your comment.
Good luck, everyone! And thank you to Catherine for this great opportunity! It’s a beautiful book and I know you are going to love it.
And since I KNOW you are going to love it, I’ve also added Modern Machine Quilting to the Quiltville Store AND added 48 more Simple Folded Corners rulers to the store as well.
All orders will be shipped upon my return from Southern California – I’m off to the airport as this posts!
