Friends Don’t Let Friends Quilt Alone! Ha!
These three gals have been quilting together for 29 years.
They have shared fabric, thread, batting, patterns, love, laughter, tears, help and hope through nearly 3 decades.
Aren’t quilting friends the best? Who knows us better than our quilting friends?
We gathered together in Chandler with a group of 30 members of the Arizona Quilters Guild, with many different chapters being represented. The Arizona Quilters Guild is the main state guild, and there are many chapters all around the state, so it’s a great way to meet other quilters when joint workshops and activities are presented.
Friends that sew together, stay together!
What happens at the workshop STAYS at the workshop!
Even Calgary, Canada was represented!
We put Easy Angle Rulers to good use…Cut One!
Flip on hinges, and cut Two!
Thanks for a great day, Ladies!

Today I’m getting an early start. A 6:30am meet up with Elaine, the president of the Arizona Quilters Guild. She will be driving me down to San Manuel for a Pineapple Blossom workshop that starts at 9am. It’s a 2 hour drive to get there. Egad.
My tail is dragging by the end of the day, but I’ve been getting good sleep in the care of my dad so mornings I’m up and raring to go. Workshop #11 of this trip..the last one…and we will fill it full and have a ball.
Are you ready, San Manuel? I’m on my way!
I surprised at the number of women sitting alone...I wonder if by choice or exclusion. Sharyn in Kalama

love the t-shirts! I like seeing everyone's work in progress. Enjoy the sunshine and warm weather and many quilting friends.
ReplyDeleteSay HEY! to Elaine for me, she is the most adorable, fun woman - the two of you will have a great ride. I am *almost* tempted to drive up to San Manuel to see her and bring her the charm pack I was going to mail to her this week. Oh, and I'd say HEY to you too, Bonnie. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThank you for adding to our memories, Bonnie! We enjoyed the class and spending some time with you. Hope you can relax when you get home after such a long teaching spell!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo for the Red and white and Maple Leaf!!
ReplyDeleteAnother workshop done and closer for you to be home. Love seeing what everyone is up to!!
This is one of my favorite BKH patterns!
ReplyDeleteBonnie, how on this earth can you take the fun yet amazing pace you keep?
Whatever it is, send my a box load... I take care of the postage lol.
Smiles, JulieinTN
Oh my word, can't believe you're going to San Manuel. I grew up there and my parents and a sister are there. There are quite a few quilters there my Mom said. She is a new quilter and just bought a new sewing machine so she can sew without a machine driving her crazy. The town is super tiny. Don't blink or you'll miss it.
