Hey, everyone!
This is just a quick heads up of a wonderful opportunity going on over at Quiltmaker Magazine’s Blog, Quilty Pleasures!
They are featuring one of my block designs that first appeared in a previous 100 bloicks issue, with the full quilt finding its way into my MORE Adventures with Leaders & Enders book!
The short video below tells you how to make my block called Midnight Flight. It has a few hints for using scraps successfully, too.
Quiltmaker is also offering up bundles of fat eighths to serve as “stash enhancement” for quilters who need it. The bundles are grouped according to value: lights, mediums and darks. They’ll help to round out your stash so you can make beautiful Bonnie-style scrap quilts.
Who doesn’t need MORE FABRIC!! This is a great way to enhance your stash and get that scrappy look that you so want!
• See the fabrics we offer as starter packs
• See the fabric/book bundle (a great deal!)
Head on over to Quiltmaker’s Quilty Pleasures and enter to win the drawing over there….one lucky winner will win the bundle shown above—that’s nine yards of fabric plus a copy of my book, More Adventures with Leaders and Enders.
This prize retails for about $100. For your chance to win, please watch the video on Midnight Flight andleave a comment ON THE POST AT QUILTY PLEASURES ((Not here on my blog!)) before midnight Sunday, Dec. 14.
They’ll choose a random winner and announce it here next week.
What a way to end a stressful week! Good luck, everyone!
Bad blurry photo of what went out today!
This has been my day in a nutshell mail carton!
We are so close to being caught up, but I’m still waiting for more of Pat Speth’s Nickel Quilts to arrive, and those should be in on Monday. Since we are playing the waiting game, at the encouragement of friends and family, I am going to step away from the mail room and head to the cabin for some R&R this weekend. My post office is not open on Saturday or Sunday anyway, and we can resume stuffing envelopes on Monday!
Catch you from Quilt Villa, Peeps!
Wow! You amaze me in all you do! Thank you! I can't wait to get the 5 books I ordered! My head spins already with possibilities! :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend. ....hope you get much deserved rest!
Hmmm. Four patches and diamond/chevron patches. Where have I seen those recently? LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad My Midnight Flight is already DONE! I'll still head over and try to win some Fabric. I'm a quilter after all! Clue 3 is going well! I found lots of fun green scraps in my Scrap users system, so happy! Tomorrow is Nutcraker day for me. Gotta make the most of today! Have fun at the Cabin, say hello to Mona for us!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time at Quilt Villa. Heaven knows you've earned it this week!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are stepping away from the Mail Room and going to Quiltvilla! It's just what you need and you sure deserve it after the week you've put in. Have a grand time! Hope your weather is as good as ours is predicted to be here in Indiana!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the Quilty Pleasure page.
This block shows a lot of what is in our MQ. Still working on finishing up part 1. I will get there.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, you deserve a break. So have fun at the cabin.
ReplyDeleteI just watched the video on Quiltmaker and that is really a cute block. I have the new magazine, of course, but haven't really had time to do more than glance at it.
Watching the video made me see how really cute it is. I'll be putting that on my "Gotta a do" list. With that name, it may make a great Christmas throw for next year, done in holiday colors.
As a postal employee who works the window, I will give you some advice, I would steer clear of the PO come MONDAAY!!!
ReplyDeleteI have all of your books Bonnie---have to say there is not a bad quilt in any of them..
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
JulieinTN
Great video I hope I win. Thanks for the plug.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are taking time for yourself!
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled to say I have all of your books and love every one of them. So much fun to sit and read and dream up my next quilt ;)
hm
I loved watching the video! Takes a really difficult looking block and turns it into something easy! Especially after conquering clue # 2 for Grand Illusion. I see one of these in my future!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the video and the scrappy quilt tips.
