Sister’s Choice workshop with a wonderful group of ladies on a gorgeous Michigan September Saturday! Whoowhooo!
Su picked me up at the hotel and drove us out the road about 20 minutes to where we gathered at Bruce Township Hall in Dafter, MI. ((I guess up here some are dafter than others! Ha!))
we busily set up for the workshop as ladies came from all over to set up their machines and get their projects ready to SEW!
A pot luck lunch had been planned and it was nearly torture to smell all of the crock pots gently simmering with all of their yummy contents!
Crock pots and irons and sewing machines also love to trip the power!!
We just had to laugh…power blipped off a couple of times, mostly when the A/C would cycle on and we were already running a gazillion crock pots ((Seen on the counter above!)) plus irons and machines at every table…we had to do some inventive unplugging and rearranging to make sure things were distributed a bit more evenly!
Fun Canadian Bunch over here!
Happy faces!
Busy hands and busier machines!
All supervised by our mascot Spike!
That is, when he wasn’t napping. You see, Spike deserves all the naps he can get. He is 16! Which is something like 112 in doggie years. Sweet fella!
We sewed and sewed and sewed…and then broke for lunch!
Life is short…start at the dessert end first!!
((And everything is better with spray whipped cream on it!))

Fill your plates, your bowls, your cups, and back again!
The day was unbelievably warm outside..high 70s, crystal blue sky, zero clouds – and we took our lunch bounty out to the pavillion and ate at picnic tables, a September lunch to remember! No one wanted to go back inside..it was that gorgeous out. Hopefully today will be the same!
