This is the first post on my new laptop now that I’ve got things installing and getting things back in order.
Thank you to whomever sent me the link for pixlr.com I can’t believe how easy it is to edit photos online without having to download software to do it!
I can crop, change the image size ((My default size is 800 pixels in the widest dimension – it’s perfect for blog uploads)) save them to my computer and go.
I can adjust the brightness/contrast and other things easily --- by far it is the easiest online program I’ve seen!
The only thing I wish I could do is change picture size by inches, not pixels, but at this time I’m not going to complain!
I’ve been sewing up a storm…I tested the software out on these photos just to see how it works…..
My fingers are crossed! I’ll hit send and then get back to some more half square triangles!
Oh, I feel your pain about getting all your software installed and getting things reconfigured back to the old familiar ways. So good to know about pixlr.com working so well for you. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteI think the pictures are better. Thanks for your great effort.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the new computer and pixir are both working great. Also looks like you have been a busy lady. Can't wait to see what this is going to be, reminds me of fall and Halloween.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you're finally up and running - the photos are great! Now I have to ask - whatcha makin'?? Is it a secret or can you tell?? You KNOW we want DETAILS - ;))
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine what a workshop with you and Mickey
ReplyDeletewould be like!!! Heaven on earth is what I imagine.
Love the purple/gold and that black will really set the colors off!
XOXOXOXO Subee
The pictures seem bigger than you usually do, but I like the shading effect on the edge. Your HST's look a bit Halloweenish, it will be interesting to see what they are going to be when they grow up!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a great job with all your new gadgets and software. Yes I'm wondering what you are working on too!
ReplyDeleteI remember the struggles you went through when you had to get a new computer glad to hear the transition to this new laptop is not so challenging! :>
ReplyDeleteYay! I was starting to feel some withdrawal symptoms without all your posts and pictures! Glad you're getting comfortable with the new technology - and still having some great sewing results, too. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteDoes the new Pixlr do the watermark on pictures for you too? YEA for the Blog back to normal. I'm still making Bow ties for the Challenge. Cut out 100 more this week to do for leader/enders. Have fun with the new Mystery. Can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteLooks Great!!!!
ReplyDeleteExtra color and detail! When I first saw the first photo I thought "nachos"!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like bumblebees!
ReplyDeleteLooks good. Still wondering about FW.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures do seem sharper to me.
ReplyDeleteI love the little glimpses of what you are doing. So far I love your color combo and I am intrigued!
Glad to see you are settling into the new laptop. I am sewing the same HST I have 720 to make...ugh I get stressed over big numbers..lol.
ReplyDeleteI have been following your "trials and tribulations" and I am so glad things are getting back to normal for you. I hope you have sucess with the damage claim on you sewing machine. If not let the quilters of the world know the airline you are dealing with and we will do a boycott!! I am curious what you are using for a seam guide on the sewing machine pictured above.
ReplyDeletePictures are nice and clear! Enjoy the new technology! And happy sewing! Joy in AK
ReplyDeleteBonnie, I was the one who suggested pixlr.com, and I'm very glad you found it helpful. I design digital graphics for my Etsy shop, and I use Photoshop all the time. I love it, but this little program works great for most blog photos. And yes, Mary, you can add text to the photos as well as watermarks.
ReplyDeleteLooks great to me! Back to "work" for you!
ReplyDeleteHope to see you in Sisters Saturday. Glad to have you back on the computer.Have fun with the sewing.
