iPhone-o-Gram! Only in Pennsylvania!

I love hitting different regions of this beautiful country and fun discovering uniquebrandnames and food items that I've never seen or tasted before!!

Have you ever experienced "Frozen Run Birch Drink??". I'm told it's similar to root beer---we will have to give it a try!

And how bout "Nibbles with Gibbled" Red Hot Chips??!!

You just might need the "Frozen Run Birch Drink" to cool your mouth down when you eat them. They've definitely got a kick to them!

Herr's JalapeƱo chips complete with oozing cheese did NOT end up iny grocery basket!

We are set up for tonight's lecture.

The retreaters are checked in to their rooms above the shop.

We are ready to set this long awaited weekend into full swing!

  1. DH just got back from PA. Had to bring back several lbs. of sweet lebanon bologna. Can't get that in TX. Drank birch beer all the time growing up!

  2. Bonnie, did you ever get traction at your doc's/ PT for your bulging disc? If so and it helped, you may want to try an inversion table and 'hang upside down' when you are in pain. That was the only way I managed to survive 3 herniated discs in my lower back. You either hate traction/ inversion table or you love it and the minimal pulling apart of the vertebrae gives you a huge amount of relief of the pain. Try sport stores (Dick's or Dunham, not sure what PA has) to 'test' the unit... Enjoy all the crazy food and please feel better soon!

Inversion tables are great for people who have back problems. My DH has serious back problems (1 surgery, fused vertebrae and nerve problems. Old Vietman war injury from a midair helicopter crash)and uses the inversion table daily with great results.

    2. Traction Tables are the BOMB!! I LOVE when I am told I have to get on one. I had some real bad back pain after a car accident a while back and I used to fall asleep and take a nap while I was on the "Stretcher" as it is affectionately referred to...

I used to ask for more time and my therapist would laugh, "Most people ask me to REDUCE the time. I think you are the first person who has ever asked stay on the table longer than we prescribe.

The only thing better than the "Stretcher" is electro-Therapy...

It's "Nibble With Gibble's" for the potato chips and you don't want to read the ingredient panel...(L-A-R-D)... For the true PA experience, you have to smash some Gibbles into your sandwich made with Seltzer's Sweet Lebanon Bologna on a Martin's Potato Roll. Tastykakes for dessert then, of course. That's the school lunch of champions, circa 1965. :)
