Pat Sloan's Holiday Celebrations Tour! (Gift-Away!!)

Happy Saturday, Quiltvillians!

Today is the day!

It's' my day on Pat Sloan's tour for her new book Holiday Celebrations.

I've loved visiting the other stops along this tour since it began with the TWO mega-giveaways from Martingale happening now (see the prize packs on MONDAY'S POST. You can enter on their blog here, and over on Instagram here.) and seeing what everyone has been making from Holiday Celebrations.

When Pat asked me to play along, I jumped in with both feet - Let's face it, sometimes it is just fun to SEW without having to design something of my own at the same time.  I didn't have to figure yardage, math, techniques -

I just had to have fun, and I did!

So many fun projects, it was hard to pick one!

And there it was - bottom right corner -

Merry Little Houses!

I loved the size of the windows on the cute houses, with plenty of room for some fussy cutting.

I decided due to time to make only four houses - and I found the perfect fabric for my windows!

These Burly Beavers were a gift -

And I found the perfect spot for them.

(Aren't they a crack up?!)

Kitted up and ready for assembly!

I can't stop giggling!

Oh goodness - so much fun!

I added sashings!

I dug through my box of squares to find a random variety of greens for cornerstones -

I chose to make flying geese for the border - with only making 4 houses, I didn't have enough "bonus triangles" saved from behind the roof pieces to do the corner treatment that Pat did on hers.

She told us to "Go your own way!" when making our projects so they would be a reflection of our own preferences and personalities so this is where I let loose - as a goose!

Flying geese are so fun to make, and I love all the different greens that came out of my own Scrap User's System.  There are a few Christmas prints, but many others also -

I used my Essential Triangle Tool for the geese, working from my stash of 2 1/2 inch scrap strips.

Including frogs and bugs!

Looking good here!  I'm excited!

Next up = Quilting!!!

I quilted Merry Little Houses with a tan colored thread in an edge to edge design called Starlets from UrbanElementz.com

Even better – it was from their FREE pantographs category!  YES!  It’s FREE!

I could die of cuteness!

Red gingham binding for the win!

My view on the back porch at Quiltville Inn yesterday afternoon!

6 of us went up to Grayson Highlands to hike with the wild ponies yesterday - I think we pooped Zoey out!  I enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in a rocking chair just listening to birds, occasionally chatting to quilting retreaters and enjoying the lovely June day while stitching down the binding.

Such a quick and happy finish!

It may find a home here at Quiltville Inn as part of the holiday dรฉcor.  Then again, I might gift it to a family member.

In all honesty - it's not finished all the way - There is still a sleeve and a label to sew down. But I made THIS deadline anyway!

And now YOU can come join the fun as Pat Sloan takes you on a joyful journey through a year's worth of celebrations. You'll find easy patchwork and fusible-appliquรฉ; projects for Valentine's Day, Easter, the Fourth of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Stitch welcoming lap quilts and table toppers, plump and pretty pillows, trick-or-treat totes, cozy Christmas stockings, and more. Keep your home dรฉcor looking fresh and cheery as the seasons change, and always have the perfect pattern on hand for a housewarming or holiday gift.

With inspiring photos, easy-to-follow instructions, and 17 terrific designs at your fingertips, you're on your way to a great year!

I have added Holiday Celebrations to the Quilting All the Time category of the Quiltville Amazon Affiliate Store. Use your PRIME from wherever you are and have the book in your hot little hands in just a few days!

AND!  We are going to host our own little Holiday Celebrations Gift-Away, right here right now!

Would you like to win a copy?

We will draw for our winner on Monday, June 14th! Good luck, everyone!

And along with the Martingale Super prize packs mentioned and linked at the TOP of this post, if you missed out on the other stops before mine this week - give them a visit and enter their gift-aways too!
And since I don't post on Sunday (Everyone needs a day of rest!) please visit the Fat Quarter Shop tomorrow, June 6th!
Thanks for stopping by for my day on the tour - and stay tuned!  There will be loads more quilty fun coming soon.

Today I'm headed back to the Inn to play with the quilters.  Not exactly sure what I'm going to work on now that Merry Little Houses is finished, but I'm sure I'll find something.

How about you?
