The Long Way to Trollville!

Lorraine emailed me shortly after ((or during??)) My trip to Sisters Oregon when I had pictures of my Troll Sister included in some of the posts! I love trolls! I used to play with them when I was little, envied my aunt’s collection of them….I still love them!

Well, Lorraine said she had some troll FABRIC and was sending me some--

And ….I waited…and she waited…and nothing showed for quite a long time!

Well, today, I am happy to report that this package showed up in my mailbox..a large SQUISHY one! The Trolls had arrived!

This is SO funny!! I can honestly say I have never seen troll fabric. Never seen trolls in shorts either..lol! I love it!

I have a feeling I’m going to have to gift some of this on to TONYA who is collecting ugly interesting fabrics for her Legos quilt! What a hoot!….what say you Ton, or are these guys too big to cut up into your little pieces? :cD

Come on now….didn’t you love trolls back in “the day”??

Thanks Lorraine! It looks like there was a wrong number in the zipcode and that is why it took so long! I’m happy it is here…..this really made my day!

  2. I love the troll fabric! I too also had trolls when I was a kid and thought they were cool. I've just come across your blog last week and have been following you on your Alaska trip. It looked like you were having a ball.

  3. Love the troll fabric. I remember a day when my little sister cut the hair on one of my troll dolls. When I got mad she innocently said, "It will grow back." : )

  7. oh please please please send some. I have 33 troll dolls in storage - collected them all when I was in the third grade. I used to make clothes for them using my Mom's scraps so I HAVE seen them wearing clothes ;-)

  10. That fabric is so fun! I can't wait to see what you decide to use it for. It will have to be big enough pieces to show off those cute trolls! Some fussy cutting is definately in order.

  14. My kids had a huge collection of trolls in the 90's, they all came with outfits on. I have started finding them here and there around the house. Been purging lots o stuff now they are both in college. Will try to remember to send you a pic of them when I get them all together. When I was growing up, use to play with my moms trolls from the 50s.

  17. My very first sewing projects were troll clothes. My 3rd grade class picture shows me with my troll hanging around my neck like a pendant. Somehow I lost that troll that day and I never knew where it went.

  19. I loved them back in the day, and I love them now! As a four year old, I snuck my mom's camera and took pictures of my troll babies. Boy, was she mad when she got back that roll of film! But I was unrepentant.
