Portland Fun!

Class is over as of about an hour ago ---

At the end of class in walks Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts wielding a bag of scraps and trimmings from her class next door ---

Weeeeeeee!  Fun for me!!

Or more like "Let's give it to Bonnie, she will sew with ANYTHING!"  ((And she's right!))

We are having a super fun time, I have met folks who have come from Canada, Alaska, California, and all over the USA to come spend a quilty weekend with us at Block Party!

Dinner with the ENTIRE group tonight in the ballroom followed by a lecture and trunk show by none other than Jo Morton!

((Okay you guys, I am just GIDDY – I woke this morning to a “friend request” from Jo herself…….I am so star struck!))

Into the weekend we go ---- I hope you have many quilty things planned!

Love from Portland ---

  1. Julie is so cute, looks like you are having a blast! I just wish that I had a job that was this much fun. Not sure that I would like all the travel though. Glad that you and the other participants are enjoying your fun quilt time together.

  2. Hey Julie has sent me scraps before and they are all good! I think its fun how you get to meet your quilting idols!

  3. Wow you, Julie and Jo life is good, you couldn't ask for anything more.

  4. Very cute picture of the two of you! Sure seems like you're having a great time out there!

  5. Looks like so much fun! I love that bright quilt in the background - it has great movement, reminds me of a Storm at Sea.

  6. Your Midnight Flight quilt is one of my all-time favourites! I love the movement of it. And it looks like you're having a great time. So glad!

  7. Two of my favorite quilting ladies in one photo... Cool. Wish I were there!

  8. Great pic Ms. Bonnie. Sorry I didn't get it centered better. Looking forward to your class on Saturday.
