Pieced Hexies on Craftsy!

I am so excited!

My dear friend Mickey Depre is taking the quilt world by storm!

She has had a very busy couple of months, filming both for Craftsy AND The Quilt Show with Alex Anderson and Ricky Timms!

This girl is GOING PLACES!

Last night she sent me a link to her Craftsy Workshop ---this is SUCH a quality production.  She takes you through each step in the pieced hexie process and gets you inspired to start your own.

If you’ve always wanted to do hexies but thought that the little ones were TOO LITTLE – never fear!  This is a Part Machine-Part Hand process --- you can do the machine work at home, and then take a baggie of pieced hexies with you for those found moments of time while otherwise waiting.  Everything you need will fit in a small zip lock bag in your purse ---once the machine stitching has been done, all you need is your hexie sets, papers, needle and thread! (I also add one small pin and I can NOT live without my clover needle threader because it has a thread cutter built in!)

It is AMAZING what you can do with little found moments of time ---each waiting moment at a guild meeting, a doctor's appointment, an airport layover, a hotel room is a gem to be gathered.

With Pieced Hexies you can have your machine piecing (prep work) and your hand stitching too!

Did you ever wonder what goes on behind a TV set?  Take a look!

  1. I have always wanted to learn English paper piece/hexies but find them intimidating and don't really care for the little sizes...this might actually work for me!

  2. Thank you for the link Bonnie! I know I won't be able to come to your Collaboration, so this might just be the ticket to getting my fix, lol. Headed to the link now!
