It’s Still Here!!

I can’t tell you how many times during the day I had to pop back over here just to check if this new blog was still here! Yep! It is!

It’s also a bright sunny NC January morning! And that means it’s an errand day for me. I’ve got to go meet Nane at the bagel shop and pick up some quilts that Karen and I have had on Display with our Bee in Yadkinville through the month of December! I get to be the go between because Karen and I are meeting for Lunch later at our favorite Indian place—Nawab!

And there are all other little piddly errands too, post office, bank, prescription drop-off and fill at Sam’s Club, and perhaps a hair trim in there somewhere for me. It just all adds up to a day AWAY from the computer, which I think I need!

Look at these lovely fabrics that Janette sent me from Australia!  I am SO in love with this Kangaroo fabric, and I’m brainstorming on sewing something really fun with them. I’d love to combine all of these beautiful florals with a bunch of plaids and stripes. Just need to find the right pattern! ((And some time?))

I’ve gotta scoot! Just have a terrific day today Y’all!

PS. Well so much for that! I just went to get in my car, and it's deader than a door nail and won't turn over!? Seems like it is time for a new battery -- DH is on his way home to give it a jump-start and see if we can also add a trip to get a new battery added into the line-up today. This is the 2nd time it's done this in a couple weeks and 2 times is 2 too many!

  1. Sometimes I dread those days of running around, and other days, it makes me feel so productive to check so many things off a list of things to do. Here's hoping that your day is the productive kind!

  3. I know what you mean about the whole 'new look' thing. Kinda like when you change your hair style then keep passing by mirrors to check it out. *grin*
    Love your new look!

I have a question...might be a dumb one but I can't seem to find the code for your new button. Am I not looking in the right place?

  5. I know what you mean.See we live 30 miles away from everything except a grocery store. So we tend to pack alot in when we go out. Yesterday was my day out like that. It felt good to get alot accomplished along with lunch with hubby(best part).
May your day away from the computer be refreshing.

  6. I recently had to replacy my battery as well, for the same reason. What a pain, but better stranded at home than out and about. Enjoy your day. Lane

  7. Join the club.
We had to replace our car battery day before yesterday.
Went out to go to lunch - the battery was sooooo dead that it didn't even click when I turned the key.
    'nother $100 Ker-ching ! ! !

    Hugs,
    Gerry

  12. Beautiful new blog! If there really were such a little village as in your banner, I'd be moving in right away. :-)

Winter must be hard on vehicles. 3 of ours have been down since Christmas. Ouchee $$. Hope a new battery fixes up your wheels with no problem.

  15. That happened to me...bought a new battery....did it again. Seems the radio was shorting out...Ford put in a whole new radio as it was considered still in warranty but was not really. Maybe they had a problem with others and decided to just replace them!
Or it could be that you do not drive it enough to charge the thingie.

  17. I miss the old blog! It looked much more about a scrappy quilter in my humble opinion. This one just looks like the person who designed it.

Any chance that you would come to Australia one day?
