Quiltmaker’s 1000 Blocks!
Yes, that’s right, ONE THOUSAND BLOCKS!
I first learned of this compilation when I was in Colorado in August filming my Craft U Scrap Quilting series. ((Have you registered? Click the link to learn more, and use the code BHSCRAP30 to save $30.00!)) Carolyn was SO excited with the prospect of having 1000 blocks from the beloved 100 blocks editions all in one volume.
I’ve been so anxious to get my hands on them as well!
Description:
Hundreds of blocks from today's top designers!
Quiltmaker magazine has long been regarded as the place to find blocks that range from innovative to traditional, whimsical to sophisticated, classic to unique! Now, these blocks are together in Quiltmaker's 1,000 Blocks.
This comprehensive guide covers every block-making approach including applique, foundation-pieced, mixed techniques and pieced. It also features settings and yardages for turning your blocks into beautiful quilts, quilt-making techniques for easy reference and a bonus CD of PDF templates.
The editors of Quiltmaker magazine have compiled an extensive block collection that is sure to be a quilter's best friend!
Here it is in my hot little hands!
One of my blocks is in the upper right corner!
Can you spot it?
This book is more than 1'' thick!
All 4 lbs of it!
There is a comprehensive index of blocks by designer!
This is such a great reference book.
The possibilities are endless!
Here's Winston Ways in the midst of a great line up!
AND! There is a CD of all designs included!
I ordered in only 40 copies. The retail price is $29.95 or, approximately 3 cents per pattern. Isn't this a steal? I'm going to make it better. I've got it in my Quiltville Store for $28.00 making it UNDER 3 cents per pattern.
1000 designs, less than 3 cents each.
This is where I do have to stick in a side note. As this book weighs 4 lbs BEFORE packaging, I am unable to ship this book internationally. The postage is going to be ridiculous. If you feel you MUST have it, contact me, and I'll let you gently in on what the postage will be depending on where you are.
If you are in the USA, orders over $75.00 ship free, no matter what the books weigh. You are golden!
And while you are in the store, I've added a new category!
Second Hand Rose!
Remember when we used to do Yard Sale Saturday and I'd sell gently loved items in my etsy store? With the new website, I can put in a category for these items and sell them right from my website.
I have added many great titles from my personal collection that are ready and willing to come live with you in your sewing space at deeply discounted prices.
These items are limited to stock on hand, and are second hand ((Sometimes third hand!)) books and are sold as is.
As we are ramping up to Christmas, I'm going to send out the disclaimer that these orders will be sent out AFTER Christmas. I'm spending today writing the rest of the mystery ---it has to be ready to go live because I can't write the rest of the posts on the road, and I leave for Texas on the 29th.
Oh, and that Quilty Box Drawing? It's TONIGHT! Did you get your entry in??
Oh I'm so excited! Thanks Bonnie!!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!!
1000 blocks? Yikes! Would that I could live and sew long enough to make them all!
ReplyDeleteAll those blocks in one place. . .priceless!

Really like that publication
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS NOT A GIVE-AWAY! Sorry folks, this is an update to my store, but not a giveaway this time :)
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Bonnie. I'm ready for the compilation!!!
ReplyDeleteThat book is gorgeous! What a long way quilt books have come since I bought my first black & white one, The Perfect Patchwork Primer. It certainly didn't come with a CD!
ReplyDeleteI can't comment on your Facebook page because I'm not a FB member, but I wanted to let you know the extreme "jealousy" (for lack of a better word) that instantly came over me when I saw your totally organized studio picture yesterday. My sewing room is in shambles right now, a reflection of everything that's been going on in my life for the last several months. That room became the "dump and run" spot for things I didn't have time or energy to deal with. What a dishonor I've done to my formerly happy space. I can't wait for the day when I can go in there with a shovel and get started straightening it up again! Maybe after the holidays, after company leaves, after the sick kitty is better, after my cough has gone away, after, after, after..... SIGH!
Thanks for showing this, I didn't know! And one of my blocks is on the back!
ReplyDeleteFor those of us who could never find the 100 block issues, this is great!!!
ReplyDeleteGuess I NEED to order this for my January Birthday! Thanks for the heads up, that is a real bargain.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting and thanks for the heads up! What a great useable reference book. It is will be on my list for a July birthday gift to myself. I can have it all, but not all at once, right? Hugs, Allison in Plano, Texas USA
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Bonnie. Thanks for all that you do. Best wishes for a great Christmas with your family over the holidays.
