Galaxy-Gram! The Last Quiet Evening!

Well, everyone has left and gone their separate ways home wherever there destination may be.

The only two left here are Karen from Virginia and myself, who will be sharing a ride and making our way down to Portland for our respective flights out tomorrow afternoon.

There has been a long afternoon nap.

There has been some sewing of pieces while watching the swirl of snow flurries from the large picture windows of the inn, with Saddleback Mountain in the distance.

Yes, the mountain tops are showing white with a dusting of accumulation.

We are enjoying some toe warming in front of  the  roaring fire built in a rustic stone fireplace that dates back to the 1920s.

One more night tucked under trunk show quilts, and we will wave goodbye to this idyllic spot and make our own journey toward home.

Thanks for a great and memorable weekend,  Rangeley!  You won't soon be forgotten!

  1. such a nice peaceful view you have and love that fireplace

  2. Thank you, Bonnie, for a great first quilt retreat! Until next time-safe, happy travels and many happy hours sewing wherever you may be. Sandal

  3. I would have a hard time keeping my eyes on the sewing machine with a view like that! I would have to wait until dark :-)

  5. What a wonderful bonus to your teaching schedule! Thank you for sharing. You are such a smart traveler to allow extra arrival and departure time in your schedule. Enjoy the fire.

  6. Thank You for Sharing, Bonnie! What beautiful blocks, and a beautiful view too! If you have termination dust, it is more than we are getting. But that is all right. I am not quite ready for it, if there is such a thing. Have safe trip home, and hopefully you will get some much deserved rest!

  7. What a beautiful view for quilting!

  8. Is that a stuffed and mounted dog over the fireplace? (or half a dog?) How did everyone react to that? I'd find it highly disturbing! Other than that the place looks wonderful.

What a beautiful view! Love those star blocks! Safe travels returning home!!

  10. The dog over the mantel looks like a painting on boards! Half of a dog stuffed would certainly get a reaction!!

What an amazing retreat center and sleeping under one of your masterpieces must have been a special treat - and warm and cozy.
