You’d never guess that this humble little fire station, looking all peaceful and serene on the outside – was hosting a wild bunch of 33 women with 33 machines, fabric, irons, paraphernalia and having a raging good time in Jamestown, NY!
And yes, that might look like MY Shamu, but that is Jean’s van – we drive the same one!
Quilters need big vehicles – I won’t trade my Shamu for ANYTHING!
But back inside this building – we had ample space upstairs for everyone AND all of their stuff, and room to move….
We were busy with the string blocks and the broken dishes units for Jamestown Landing!
Time to get our SCRAPPY on!
You can find the pattern for Jamestown Landing from my book String Fling in Quiltville’s Store!
We made string blocks..oh so many string blocks!
And TRIANGLES, Oh the triangles!
Doing the Triangle Twist – Go Faith, Go Faith!!
It wasn’t long until we could see how this all was to come together as we worked to build enough variety in these simple units to get the action going:
Carrie’s in green!
Elaine’s coming along in blacks!
Show us how it’s done, ladies!
Hold them high and be proud!
See how huge this room was?

Jamestown Landing, Jamestown NY 2015 |
Be Fun! Be Silly! Be Quilty! Be Photo-Bombed!
Today on deck we have Sister’s Choice and I just know it’s going to be as much of a rocking good time as Jamestown Landing was. How could it not be?
Bring it on!
Looks like you ladies had a great time! Please post more about that vintage suitcase tricked out into a traveling sewing studio! Looks like she decoupaged and customized! Julie in MS.

ReplyDeleteLoving the black and cream version! Looks like so much fun too. Thanks for always bringing us along.
ReplyDeleteYou make the classes FUN! Great quilt to make in the Town it is named for. I'm glad you took time to see the LUCY Statue, albeit as bad as it is. Loved your expression.
ReplyDeleteWas beer and pizza served!? Such happy faces... and filled with fun. This is surely one of your best of the best patterns Bonnie :)
ReplyDeleteSmiles, JulieinTN
Such pretty blocks... I'll have to take another look at that quilt! I think it needs to go on my "to do" list.
ReplyDeleteHey, what's that long empty table in the middle? My friends and I could have been there!
Looks like fun, fun, fun! I know how much fun it is to be in class with you, Bonnie. I'd love to make this quilt. Its "on the list."
ReplyDeleteLove everything you do!
