iPhone-o-gram---laughing at myself!

Live from the Quad Cities International Airport--

I'm stitching hexies from a comfy sofa in the main area before going through security---

I just realized that I was head bopping and tapping my feet as Michael jackson's "Thriller" came on my iPod---

This is not your normal "Grannie quilter" music!! Lol!

Add this to the play list for our quilters retirement assisted living place, yeah? I can see us all now, jumping up from our machines to do "the Thriller" dance--with our walkers and canes!!

Laughing---oh I love my life!!

  2. I really want to be you when I grow up. It doesn't really matter that I'm a little bit older than you already. :D

  3. Truly a woman after my own heart...hope we're in the same "Assisted Living" facility! I was an Activity Director at an assisted living facility...believe me they could use some "Thriller"!.....lol!

I'm turning "60" in a few weeks, but sure don't feel it. I can often be found rocking out to music in my car (not your typical tunes) and the older I get the less I care who sees me! :-)

I plug my iPod in my car and start my "car dancing". In So.Calif, you have to find entertainment in our cars while waiting in traffic!
I have the song from last year's winner of "The Voice" which is MJ's "Man in the Mirror"....love it! My son's were into MJ when Thriller came out....I could often be found dancing around the house to "Thriller" and "Billy Jean" etc. Still lovin it!

  4. My quilt group's theme song is Eugene by Pink Martini-of course there is a back story but it is only funny to us. We do quite a routine to this song at our retreats.

  5. Wow! I was thinking about visiting you in Virgina in August, but all of your classes are sold out already. I am so glad you are sooo popular, guess I'll have to decide quicker when you are teaching near here. Love your music choices.

  11. Too funny! My hairdresser, that I've gone to since she started beauty school, works in an assisted living center so I often wonder how our generation will look and act when it's our turn to live there. Do you think we'll succumb to helmet hair and polyster pants? I hope not! I'd much rather rock out to Thriller! Maybe we could start a home just for quilters. You know they are more fun than just about anybody else out there! :)

I am going to be 68 in June and I refuse to wear polyester pants. The only thing the polyester is good for is quilte. My mom made lots of them and donatesd to homeless shelters. Kept them war.

  12. AT the shop (quilt shop where I work) we listen to Pandora and usually it is "Bubblegum oldies". So many quilters end up singing and bopping through thr store. We just join them.
The Quilter's Home will include music, a huge room for sewing machines and irons and daily quilting. Maybe a longarm or two.
Of course we will need some comfy chairs on the porch for hand work. We will probably need a few storage buildings for our combined stash. hehehehe
