For your International Quilt Day Enjoyment!

Thanks to Peggy K for reminding me of this little gem!

It’s by an artist named Gayle Thomas and the caption reads:

A tribute to the unique and long-established art form of patchwork quilting, this abstract animated film uses computer and experimental techniques to choreograph quilt motifs and designs to music.
It’s a very fun watch, and the music has me all excited about Ireland in June!

We are pretty pooped out from property hunting all day – and it will continue tomorrow.  Some good, some bad, some ugly, some --- HYSTERICAL!

Photos to come when I’m home to post them.

Enjoy the rest of your Quilt Day!

((Isn’t every day a Quilt Day?!))

  1. Thanks for sharing, I had seen that video before but don't remember when. It is so very interesting. Enjoy your search for a place in the mountains. Wish I was coming to Ireland-was there for the first time in October and would love to go back.

  3. YES, almost every day is a Quilt Day at my house. I enjoyed watching last nights Quilt Cam again. Great that it is archived for those who aren't able to see it live. Still getting my things ready to be in Portland for the FUN four days this week. Hope you find what you are looking for in the Mountains. Happy Birthday to your DH!

  4. Thanks for posting this video. I had never seen it before. I just love the way the music and the graphics mesh together so well.

By the way, I watched Quilt Cam today. Beautiful reception! And I'm so thrilled that I'll be able to see it even if I can't catch it when it's live. And I loved your mini-lecture on neutrals.

  7. Thank you for sharing the video, Quilt. I enjoyed it so much, I shared it on Facebook. When viewed from Facebook, there were other videos below Quilt; one was a short 12 minute children's story called Oma's Quilt. Please let your fans know about it, Bonnie. It is so charming and tender to watch. Here is the link: http://www.nfb.ca/film/omas_quilt
