Those darker-than-cream sandy neutrals.
A handful of medium to dark grey in all of their variety!
These are about to become SOMETHING! And I can’t wait to show you what.
And before you go guessing “It’s the mystery!” You’d be wrong. Dead wrong. Because when have I ever shown photos of mystery parts all out in full color spectrum BEFORE the mystery? Like never. Ever.
So hold on to your scrap lovin’ horses – this is about to be something REALLY FUN!
So much so that I couldn’t leave the QPO until I had them all sewn up, pressed and cut!
“You can’t put those sandy beiges next to grey! They just won’t go!” Oh yes they will – you just wait and see!
And that’s all I can say about it for now – because there is more work to be done behind the scenes, but the first day of Autumn is on my radar and that’s what I’m shooting for. It won’t be long now.
Ivy has her toes crossed -
Okay, both hind legs -
That she won’t spill the beans until it is time!
All of that Giucy Giuce goodness!
We are drawing from 5899 entries!
Who is number 4362?

Be safe, everyone!
Quiltville Quote of the Day -
There's no getting around it.
We have to breathe, accept, and do the best we can to deal with it.
And find something we are grateful for in every day.
Vintage basket quilt from the American Museum in Bath, UK.

Congratulations Nancy I’m sure you will have fun with this Quilty box the fabrics are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThose colours look really interesting, can’t wait to see what your doing. Love sweet little Ivy right down to her cute little crossed paws.

Bonnie, thank you for all you do! Really like today's quote. With our finite minds how can we really "know" how things should be. Be at peace. Can't wait for the reveal as I have leftover gray fabrics.
ReplyDeleteBonnie,
ReplyDeleteI think you should write a book, or a daily calendar or something, of your "Quiltville Quote of the Day". I don't know about others, but many times they seem to come at the perfect time for me, like today for example. This quote and your thoughts about it could have been written specifically for me today. I have printed the quote with your thoughts below it and have them hanging in front of my desk at work and at home along with several other ones that you've posted in the past. I love them! It feels like encouragement from you! Please think about it and I'd like the first copy, or two!!

Perhaps not the mystery, but intriguing just the same ! Enjoy your time with your son. Congrats to the winner of the quilty box.
ReplyDeleteok-I'm torn between loving your quilty news and reading about the antics of your fur kids. They each have their own personalities and I LOVE how much you love them!! REALLY enjoy the blog. Be well.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a tease. Lol. Looking forward to the reveal
ReplyDeleteTo disallow any form of negative thinking is always my goal. Thankfully I am able to do that most of the time. Learning to be content is a valuable lesson. Thanks for putting this thought for us to remember.
ReplyDeleteI love the "scrap lovin' horses" :) We just aren't patient are we? lol
ReplyDeleteBonnie, you are on fire! I can just see your brain working so fast through all the ideas you come up with!
ReplyDeleteThe best place to hide something is in plain sight.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, I always love your neutrals and I am always in awe of how you can just sit down and come up with a great pattern or block. What machine is that? I have a black featherweight but I have a two toned 301A and two toned 404.....I really like how this machine looks and i love the way the Vintage Singers sew...
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that's a Singer 301.
DeleteCongratulations to Nancy on winning the Quilty Box!
ReplyDelete- I can wait to see what this next surprise is that Bonnie has in store for us!
-Thangs that make me happy? Quilting in the fal and winter months and gardening in the spring and summer months!

Where the rain has stopped momentarily and the sun is shining. That means I can work in the garden this afternoon!
I recognize the grey and white polka dots on the top of that stack. Maybe they are the ones I sent! Love your posts. Happy quilting to all.
ReplyDeleteToe beans crossed (like ivy) that the big reveal is soon! I am trying to expand my color comfort zone and even though I tend to like more riotous color combos I actually think beiges and grays are wonderful together. As luck would have it I am kitting up a Hunter's Star quilt today that uses beiges, creams, tans, grays, and some black. Sometimes you just gotta embrace the neutral love!
ReplyDeleteBonnie, I recently aquired a bag of at least 200 diimands, cut from 1 1/2 in strips. What can I do with them? Your answer is anticipated. I will be watching. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning the beautiful Crafty Box, Nancy.
ReplyDeleteEstoy esperando en que se van a convertir esos tonos grises que me gustan tanto. Deseando verlo para empezar.
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE the colors of this secret sewing! I can't wait to see what it becomes. 1.5" scraps are my FAVORITE!!! Holding my scrapilicious horses at bay...
