Last Fire Pit Night! (And A Drawing!)

Wow! What a weekend!

As the weather begins to get chillier - we gathered the October Quiltvillians around the fire pit for one last sit-around-the-fire evening of 2024.

Now, the November Quiltvillians are the next group in line - arriving on Wednesday, but I'm not sure if the weather will be cooperative. As it was, this called for jackets and sweatshirts and by the time we were about ready to go in, rain had started drizzling a bit.

We snuck this one in just in the nick of time!

And yes, Mabel and Zoey were on hand for all the loves and pets - and a few bits of graham cracker.

All through the weekend there were cute projects a plenty!

A new project begun!  I love the greys with the aqua.  Pretty!

You all know what this is, right?

How many are pedal to the metal to get Indigo Way done before our next mystery starts SOON, VERY SOON!!

That's right!  On Thursday I'll be posting the introductory post to this year's Quiltville Winter Mystery.  I'll have yardage requirements, colors and background story and other pertinent information for you.

As with every year, It will have its own tab at the top of the blog so all posts relating to the mystery will be easy for you to go back and find.

My job over the next few days is to finish up that post and get everything ready so we can begin!

This binding continues!

At least at last I have finally reached the 4th side. I keep telling MYSELF that it's not a race - the same thing I keep telling everyone else.

But with mystery stuff being worked on behind the scenes and feeling like I need to so some quilty progress of some kind here - this is it.  LOL!

When this binding is done, I get back to hand quilting the red/white/blue stars.  

I did sort out and kit up a bunch of  pieces for my hexie project for upcoming travel.

I leave for Arizona on 11/5 to visit my dad for a week.

I have the England trip coming up quickly!

That is followed by Australia in January.

Hexies are ready to go - but that doesn't feel like a lot to share.

Son Jeff came yesterday to help fix the facia board behind the gutter on our front porch at home.  Somehow a chipmunk or squirrel had found its way through a rotted spot and was making a nest in between the walls.  YIKES!

That's now solved, and of course if sons come to work, we feed them.  So my Sunday was full of making roast, potatoes, gravy, broccoli and a salad to go with - must FEED the menfolk.

Today is the last day for the October Quiltvillians, and there will be over-the-porch photos to take this afternoon.

This week feels already FULL UP.
