The Brown Bird Bee gals are at Quiltville Inn...driving all the way from Northern Virginia -
I am so happy to have folks from the other side of our great commonwealth experience a bit of SW VA hospitality!
I know this photo is a bit washed out - I was standing at overhead light height when I took it - just consider it a *natural glow* filter. LOL!
The weather has gone from super chilly to fairly nice and it looks like it will stay in that trend through the weekend.
A trip through the quiet sewing room while everyone was eating lunch in the dining room -
Notice anything?
Last year's quilt challenge has come back!
The quilt retreat panels were handed out last year with the challenge to finish them up by this year.
Some are done. Some are....under the gun to get them done by tomorrow's over-the-porch-rail-photo shoot. We all know how best laid year long plans go.
Signature blocks from last year's retreat.
Everyone is so different!
Batted, Basted and ready for machine quilting!
Quilted, bound and BLINGED!
check out the beaded earrings - so fun!
Another - beautiful floral border!
Finishing the binding on this one.
What a fun project to have as a memory from last year's retreat, coming back to this year's retreat and everyone having a signature block from each other.
Of course there are other projects too - Virginia Bound quilt from Scraps & Shirttails is coming together.
Beautiful blocks in pinky-red.
Sweet appliqued ladies - newly quilted!
So sweet!
Christmas wall hanging -ready for machine quilting!
Curved geese - oh my!
Building a tree, the patchwork way!
Group project for a friend who couldn't attend -
With a Pokemon theme!
Adorable!
Sorry - I don't have the pattern info.
If you know - please leave it in the comments below.
I'm so happy these fun gals are in the house!
This is what happens in the mornings when the leaves are off the trees and the sunlight comes through the bedroom window -
Mabel hogs the sunny spot!
I want to thank everyone for the response to yesterday's Ladder Star Gift-Away!
I am thrilled with the response and can't wait to see what you make!

Today? Still working on getting that County Clare top together! Hopefully I'll get that done, get the borders on and have an update for you by Monday.
Any plans for your weekend?
Quiltville Quote of the Day -
Some things need to take their time.
Fabric shopping is one of those things.
Happy weekend, everyone!
What a fun group! Love the pic of Mabel on the bed. What a good girl
ReplyDeleteHalloween is fast approaching!
Thank you for the chance to win the drawing. Good luck to everyone.
Have a Sparkling day
The Christmas tree pattern is from Temecula Quilts - It's called the Temecula Tiny Tree. They show one tree in their advert.
ReplyDeleteI am leg up, icing my right knee after knee replacement surgery yesterday. I’ll be binging the new Hallmark movies. 😊
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas tree pattern is a free download from SendOwl called Tiny Tree.
ReplyDeleteGood morning. The tree pattern is from the 'Tiny tree' sew along from Temecula Quilt Company. I'm not sure if it is still available as it was a couple of years ago.
ReplyDeleteLove the Quilting Retreat Wall Hanging--what a clever momento! The Brown Bird Bee Gals look like a productive fun group. Enjoy the weekend sewing. :-) Jenny
ReplyDeleteThe tree quilt is from Temecula Quilt Company, Twelve Days of Christmas, https://temeculaquiltco.blogspot.com/2020/12/tqc-archives-twelve-days-of-christmas_4.html
ReplyDeleteI think the trees ae from the Temecula sew along a few years ago. I made mine into table runners or mini wall hangings.
ReplyDeleteThe picture of the trees quilt using various greens is titled “Tiny Tree” was designed by Sheryl Johnson of Temecula Quilt Company. The pattern was offered as a free pattern on her blog titled Temecula Quilt Co. during December 2019 and can still be located using the search engine or in the listing of free patterns to the right of posts on her blog. She also has a Valentine version titled “Vintage Valentine,” however, it is not listed in the free patterns, but you can locate this pattern by using the search engine on her blog. Hope this helps. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI believe the Christmas tree pattern is Temecula Quilt company from 4-5 years ago.
ReplyDeleteBut, momma, she knows the best spot in the house to be in!! ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun group of ladies! I just love the panels... & yes, that would be something fun to do. I'm loving the patchwork Christmas trees. I guess I need to make one or 2 this year! I am fully embracing this long weekend. Yesterday I pulled all of CHilhowie blocks together; & today I am working on the border. I hate wrestling with King size quilts... but I love my brother. What's a girl to do?! Ha! Have a good weekend!
The Christmas tree pattern is “Tannenbaum” by Laundry Basket Quilts.
