Whoowhooo! I have never been so glad for a Wednesday to finally arrive!
It seems like forever since we released a new pattern - it was mid-May when Mabel's Choice had her debut.
It's TIME! I know you've been waiting for this one - and I can't wait to push send on this post and make it available.
Hamilton Gardens was such a great stop for us - to walk among the different styles of gardens and see all the flowers - just look at this color!
It's a colorful, scrappy quilt!
So peaceful and serene.
To see this in January was such a great escape for me!
(We are escaping again this coming January to Australia - I am looking forward to another break from the ice and cold and seeing this kind of beauty all over again!)
Agapanthus! My favorite!
I knew I would come home and finally find a setting for these blocks that had been working in the back of my mind for a while.
Short strip sets are key to building variety.
Many of these short strips came from charm squares- random orphan leftover ones. I was so happy to put them to good use!
Scrappy blocks just sparkle!
Before I knew it I had a whole stack ready to sew together into the quilt top.
I chose a piece of yardage - yes - whole yardage! (shocker, I know!) I was happy to have enough of this backing fabric that looked like a garden on its own right.
I quilted Hamilton Gardens with a dove grey thread in an edge-to-edge design called Espalier by Hermione Agee for Lorien Quilting.
I bound it in chartreuse - of course I did!
New Zealand Inspired!
A trip to New Zealand in January 2024 gave me a chance to see Hamilton Gardens for myself. All of that inspiration is captured here with easy to follow instructions, full-color photos and graphics to help you create your own version – no triangles required!
Quilt Size:79’’ X 79’’
Introductory pricing: I have set the price for Hamilton Gardens at 25% off - no coupon needed. Sale price good through 7/28/24.
And yes - there is a Gift-Away!
I'll be drawing for 2 winners who will each receive a Hamilton Gardens PDF pattern from me, and a Hamilton Roll from Cotton to Quilts!
Of course, they've also got gorgeous neutral rolls to enhance your stash as well. Check them out!
Winners will be chosen by random number generator on Friday, July 26th.
Fabric prizes must be shipped to a USA address. If you are outside of the USA, we can ship the fabric prize to a friend within the USA who can forward it on to you.
Let's Go!
I can't wait to see your quilts come together!
Quiltville Quote of the Day -
Why yes, of course!
I need all of this fabric.
Any other silly questions?
Have a wonderful Wednesday, everyone!
Thank you for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt based on beautiful gardens.
I'm moving along on block B for Indigo Way. But I have a dentist appointment this afternoon.
And a physical tomorrow morning.
But after that it's all about sewing.
Have a Sparkling good day 💞
