Gosh, I love this – small town festivals and all that goes with it from music and dancing under the big tent, to people watching, the anticipation of the fishing that starts TODAY -
While all of this is going on in town around us, there was NOTHING fishy about our quilty fun held in the big meeting room at the Holiday Inn Express in Alpena.

This morning I am out the door at 9:30am and heading for Art on the Bay, as part of the Brown Trout Festival for some last minute local flavor before heading off to the Alpena airport to start my long day’s journey home.
There are no mid-day flights from Detroit to Greensboro on a Saturday, so my crazy route will take me from Apena to Detroit to Atlanta and finally on to Greensboro landing about 9pm. Whew.
I wonder who will catch Big Brownie!
It’s been a delightful visit, and we’ve had a great time!
