Eclipsed Drawing Time!

It's the last Thursday of August 2024 - and it's time to draw for the winners of our Eclipsed Gift-Away!

I've watched the entries roll on in - and we nearly hit over 5,500!
This makes me so excited - I can't wait to see what colors and fabrics you pull into your own version.

These larger blocks make string piecing a whole lot of fun!

How about green, turquoise, black and neutral?

I like how this one is coming along!

I know there will be more string inspired quilts in my future - this one was so much fun to make.

And yes, I included Halloween scraps in with my other fun things - just playing by color family.  The more scraps, the more variety, the better!

I quilted Eclipsed with a gold colored thread in an edge-to-edge design called Day Tripper by Urban Elementz.

I'm drawing for 2 winners who will also receive a Facets of Black fabric Roll from Cotton to Quilts. And yes - they have other color rolls perfectly suited to enhance your scrap stash for Eclipsed too.

Who is entry 2577 out of 5589 entries?

Denise Sanders!

And entry 4005 is?

Mary-Betty Sylvia!

Congrats, Ladies!  You should have received an email from me (At the address you provided with your entries) with your Eclipsed pattern attached.

Please check your spam and promotions tabs if you don't see it and do a search using the word QUILTVILLE if you can't find it.

Reply to that email with your mailing address and I'll have the folks at Cotton To Quilts get your fabric prizes out to you.

Of course, Eclipsed has an introductory price already marked 25% off and good through 8/31/24.  Hurry now and save!

Eclipse Inspired!

Stitch a solar eclipse of your own with fun string pieced blocks! Full color photos and diagrams included. Strings are pieced on paper foundations, PDF templates included.

I can't wait to see what you make with this one!

Several evenings of flipping binding ahead!

The September Quiltvillians checked in yesterday afternoon - And Cathy came bearing goodies from Michigan's U.P.

Pasties!

Freshly baked and hot from the Quiltville Inn oven!

That was last night's dinner taken care of. And I didn't have to cook it.  Even better.  Yum!

This morning I'll head over and see what everyone is up to -

There may be a run to Lowes - Barb says one of the Hen Den ceiling fan light bulbs is strobing in disco mode.  It's aways something.

How about your Thursday?

Quiltville Quote of the Day -

Exactly. LOL!⁣
Getting closer to the weekend -

Have a terrific Thursday, everyone.

    How's your Baptist Fans doing?
Did you get the binding done on moonflower?
Love your short videos you post.
I'm still working on strings for Crazie Mazie...and I have to change the nectar out for my hummingbirds. Every other day.
They'll be gone soon. I will miss them.
    Have a Sparkling day
    Blessings 🙏 💞

  2. I sew binding on just like you do. Other than making sure that a binding seam doesn't fall at a corner, I sew the binding on "free hand", i.e., no pins or clips.

I am continuing cutting fabric doe the My Blue Heaven. So far I have 86 hourglass squares, but need 174. Once the triangles are cut, it is easy sewing. So I am trucking along, lol.

  4. As s Michigander, I must ask.....did you eat your pasty with gravy or ketchup? I'm a purist...no extras needed for me 😊.

I loved the comment and photo by Martha Plante, she has a hard time seeing quilts in different colors, other than what is shown - me too! Carolyn

Congratulations to the winners. I enjoy looking at all the different fabric scraps you use in your quilts. I loved the yellow tape measure scrap piece in your quilt. Happy Labor Day weekend to everyone. Dianne R
