These larger blocks make string piecing a whole lot of fun!

I like how this one is coming along!
I know there will be more string inspired quilts in my future - this one was so much fun to make.
And yes, I included Halloween scraps in with my other fun things - just playing by color family. The more scraps, the more variety, the better!

I sew binding on just like you do. Other than making sure that a binding seam doesn't fall at a corner, I sew the binding on "free hand", i.e., no pins or clips.
ReplyDeleteI am continuing cutting fabric doe the My Blue Heaven. So far I have 86 hourglass squares, but need 174. Once the triangles are cut, it is easy sewing. So I am trucking along, lol.
