Blue Skies, Sunshine & Stitch Mob!

If you are lucky enough to spend any amount of time with this lovely group of  Stitch Mob ladies, you are indeed lucky enough!

We had a great retreat while they were here - not a speck of rain.  Temps were mild (but climbing toward the end) and everyone said "But it's cooler here than it is at home so it's all good!"

That's what I like to hear.

Over Over The Porch Rail photo op happened on Sunday afternoon - just as the sun was banishing all of the shadows from the side porch - just check out all of that quilty goodness!

Here's Karen B and Jessica sharing newly completed tops.  Sugar Top on the left and Roll Roll Cotton Boll (Minus the small triangles that surround the blocks in my version) from Scraps & Shirttails II.

The Love Shack wall hanging top was one started at a workshop I taught in Colorado MANY MOONS ago - and Jessica has finally finished it! (No pattern as that class is retired.)

Jen is sharing her Shattered quilt along with two newly completed Trip Around The World tops from the Free Patterns tab.

That sun is bright!

Here we have Charlotte's Big String Quartet made with selvages, a purple and green Indigo Way followed by the lovely Santa panel finish and others shared in Monday's Post.

Here's Bonita's moon over the mountain quilt full out - She machine quilts on her domestic machine in sections and then adds sections together - she is a wizz and a wonder at it!

Pretty stars in blue, Jared Takes a Wife (Free Patterns tab) and A Dash of Plaid by Kim Diehl found in The Big Book of Quick To Finish Quilts.

Full out Dash of Plaid followed by Scrappy Mountain Majesties and Scrappy Trips (both Free Patterns tab) and a 60 degree diamond star that I think is Jaybird Quilts, but not sure of the name.

Karen B's  Winter Blues in red!

And her completed Silk Path top!

This group is a force to be reckoned with - Good Fun, Good Food, Good Times!

I heard from Jessica last night that everyone has finally arrived home after long journeys - I'm sure it's going to take a while for them to recuperate and catch up on lost sleep.

Today - It's Hubster Dave's and my 43rd wedding anniversary.  I don't know how that is possible.  But here we are.

43 years.

I remember thinking (back when I was way young) that it seemed impossible that anyone could be married for 50 years and still like the person.  LOL!  And we are creeping toward that number and yes I still do!

Do we have anything special planned?  No.  We had dinner and visited with some friends last night.

This afternoon the September Quiltvillians are coming on in, and we are off and running full steam into another week-long retreat.

There is stuff on the to-do list a mile long.

It's life as normal - but it's a good one.

Last Day to Enter!

The pattern release of  Eclipsed has been absolutely phenomenal! Thank you!

The one thing I've had emails on is folks outside of the USA having trouble with the Buy Now button as it uses autofill and as they are international, they then get a message saying that we don't ship outside of the USA.

PDF patterns are not shipped. There is no problem if you simply add the item to the shopping cart, then click to the shopping cart and choose either your PayPal or Credit Card option.  It should process just fine from there. It has something to do with purchasing digital files with the BUY NOW button if you are international.

Do not use the Buy Now button.  Add the item to your cart and then click the cart and check out the normal way.

Sorry for the headache - but give this a try and see if it works for you.

Also - if you've downloaded and can't find where your PDF went on your device - do a SEARCH by pattern name. Most of my issues come from iPhone/iPad users who don't know where to look.

How to find a PDF on an iPhone in Files.

The broadest place to look for your PDF is in the Files app. You’ll be able to find it there if it’s on your iPhone.

  1. Open the Files app.
  2. Tap Browse > On My iPhone.
  3. Search your folders for the PDF.

It’s very likely that the PDF ended up in the Downloads folder, so search there first.

How to search for PDF files on an iPhone.

Using the search function on your iPhone might be one of the simplest ways to find the PDF that you’ve downloaded. Here are the steps for using the search function:

  1. Swipe down to find the search field.
  2. Enter the name of the PDF into the search field.
  3. Tap Show More to scroll further through searches.
I really hope this helps!

Would you like to win an Eclipsed PDF pattern? Today is the last day to get your entry in.

We'll draw for our winners Tomorrow, Thursday, August 29th!  Good luck, everyone!

Of course, Eclipsed has an introductory price already marked 25% off and good through 8/31/24.  Hurry now and save!

I swear my bushel basket 🧺 is still full!! How can that be?! I've picked from it 4 times with a bunch of neutrals and colors. Beyond me.
Do you realize we are the same age.
    Though I turned 63 in May , so I'm a little older..
Anyway, it's going to be hot and humid here today. Good to stay inside and sew. I'm working with my last group of papers. Yay!

  16. "We shall see what we shall see" was my mother's favorite statement and it always meant no, not a chance that will happen.
