I've been home for just over 2 weeks.
That means - My sights are set on our next great Quiltville Adventure.
We are headed to Kenya in September for the trip of a lifetime!
In anticipation, I pulled out some favorite photos from that trip - and I'm sharing them with you here to get those who are already signed up with me a bit excited over things we will be seeing.
The first thing I can't recommend hard enough - a GOOD camera (yes, the grown up kind with a telephoto lens, don't just count on your phone or ipad to do it.) for those amazing shots you need to zoom in to get.
Animals aren't often right on the road, but a bit farther back in the prairie or even in the trees.
Here's looking at you, kid!
The scenery is fantastic. I feel the need to watch "Out of Africa" once again before we go.
This shot would not have been possible without my good camera.
Will we see more photo opportunities like this one? I certainly hope so!
Perfect rainbow safari morning!
Oh, those ears!
This sweet one!
It's one thing to see zebra in captivity - but to see them roaming wild....fantastic!
This was a bonus. Hello babies!
I can't wait. I seriously can't wait!
A face only a mother could love - LOL!
Majesty. Right in front of us.
My grannie loved the giraffes the best. I feel her close to me when I am out seeing what she loved so much.
Heffalumps! Loads of them!

There are still some spaces open, and yes - you can bring a friend, a spouse or significant other, an adult child -
And don't forget the telephoto!
You don't have to be a quilter to experience this trip. We are just quilters traveling together which gives us an incredible jump start to getting to know one another and forming amazing friendships.

My yesterday was filled with a morning drive to TN to pick up the Hubster after his return trip from Oregon.
Then it was on to the inn to make beds and get everything ready for the PIeceful Hearts gals who will be arriving from North Augusta, SC this afternoon for a week of retreat fun.
I hope they will be enjoying our slightly cooler temperatures than those being experienced in SC/GA.
And maybe - just maybe - after all is made ready, I'll be back at my recycled shirt start blocks...obsessed, much? YES!
What's up for your own Wednesday?
