Time flies way too quickly -

Whatever happened to those slow sweet days when summer seemed endless growing up?

Can we please make it last just a little bit longer?

Judy's Stitchers arrived on Thursday bringing their boundless energy and limitless creativity with them - filling the walls with creativity and the halls with friendship and laughter.

And I love that they brought both the hubster and me (And the doggos!) into their midst making us feel like we are all part of one enormous and boisterous quilty family.

And even though the forecast was for days of rain - that rain only happened in small amounts which cleared to beautiful weather and left the days fresh and cool.

All of this wonderful weather was much appreciated by those who had escaped the sweltering heat of those who had left the Mississippi Delta behind for a week away.

I love seeing quilts from other designers - even if I don't know the name of the pattern, or the designer's name.  

I have no info on the pineapple quilt - but love it! The star quilt I believe represents a university - I don't know which one and don't have info.

If anyone knows the info on any of these quilts please leave a comment below so others know where to look. Thanks for being my eyes and ears because I can't remember them all. I have a hard enough time remembering which quilt of mine comes from which book!

At the right I see Connie's Cherry Crunch and her Silver Linings from String Frenzy.  She's made great progress on this top while here!

Yesterday's try at getting Tula into the crate to take her to the vet bombed.  She knew.  You bet she knew just what was in store!

My problem I think was waiting too long - I should have got her first thing in the morning when she was hungry and distracted by her food.

Multiple attempts to catch her just broke her trust further and she spent the afternoon hiding in the shade under Judy's car.

She's back this morning like nothing happened begging for breakfast, of course.  So tomorrow morning - watch out.  I'm trying again.  She needs to have that leg seen to until all of the infection is gone.  So fingers crossed on that.

Laundry is running - I came early to start it and am writing this post while it runs from my office at the QPO studio.

I'm headed out at 12:15 to make my way to Hickory to see the knee surgeon.  Let's hope that they can fit me in soon on this meniscus repair - better sooner than later.
