This is the February Quiltvillians at breakfast on Saturday with much talk and anticipation over the predicted snow fall coming on Sunday.
You know last week was a yoyo as far as the weather reports were going. It went from 1-3'' to 3'5 '' to 5-8'' to 8-12'' and back to 3-5''/
Would they just freaking make up their minds already?
Our Floridians would really have liked to see some Appalachian snow fall while they are here....but really?
Icy rain was all we got.
Bummer!
It made yesterday morning a bit treacherous with ice on the roads and on the bushes and trees. I stayed home in the morning, and The Hubster and I wandered over to the inn mid-afternoon when tamps had warmed enough to just bring plain ole boring style rain.
I'm not complaining. Ice is the worst. If we can't have beautiful fluffy snow, then let it just rain!
Of course, the quilters were tucked in cozy and sewing away - I'm told there was one power blip due to the storm, but the power came right back on and the generator didn't need to run.
However - something is up with the internet and BrightSpeed (Which used to be CenturyFink and is now known as NoSpeed ever so unaffectionately.) has been notified of our outage. I hope we can get it fixed today. There was no getting anyone out there on a Sunday evening.
This is what living in the country is like. You take what you can get and when it works it works.
In the mean time, the Bristol blocks continue to grow!
Little Featherweight chugging along -
It's so fun to play mix & match with the fabrics!
Uhoh! LOL!
So beautiful in batiks, too!
Some other projects have reached top status!
This is going to be so simply pretty!
This morning's sunrise -
Ice storm behind us -
