Goin' to Charleston!

I'm headed to Charleston this afternoon to do a lecture/trunk show for the Cobblestone Quilter's Guild!

I'm planning on a fun evening. When I was at the state guild retreat (doing massage and working on my own projects) I got to know some of the ladies in their guild, and we had such a good time! I look forward to seeing them again tonight!

I'm meeting up with them at Jason's Deli for dinner before heading over to the meeting place. I'm being pampered! They have booked me a room at the Holiday Inn at Patriot's Point so I don't have to drive all the way home tonight. It's a good thing...after a long day and packing up the car again, driving over a hundred miles at that hour of night is just too much to handle. So I'll stay the night, and head straight to my office for massage clients in the morning. :c) Wish there was time to stay and play, but there just isn't! It will be a quick trip.

I just finished quilting the most lovely blue basket quilt for Julie W! The colors are so soothing, blue against white/cream. I haven't worked on anything of my own this week, so I thought I would share her quilt with you for some eye candy.....who doesn't love baskets?

  1. Love, love, love that basket quilt. Well done, Bonnie!

  2. What a gorgeous quilt - thanks for sharing it. Have a great time in Charleston - my mom is actually there right now!

  3. The blue and cream *is* pretty, but the QUILTING. That's what makes it! :D

  4. Oh this is a really soothing quilt!

  5. Very wonderful the use of a variety of backgrounds. That makes the quilt all the more interesting.

  6. Oh, I want to make one of these someday too. And blue and white would be a great way to go.

  7. Love that basket quilt!!!! Haha, it is mine!! Bonnie, you made a plain quilt top just sing with your quilting!!! Great job!!

  8. Bonnie - your program and your quilts were wonderful! And my guild thinks I'm a genius for getting you to replace Pepper Cory. So thank you thank you thank you!

Hate to hear you are leaving SC but great news about good job and benefits for DH and Winston-Salem isn't that far away.

  9. Your quilting on those baskets is beautiful! I hope you've recovered rom the shock of Jeff's accident.
