Can it be that we've finally turned the calendar page??
Why is February so danged long anyway?
But March is here and I'm ready for it.
The rest of the world must be, too as I was out for some needed items on Thursday evening (cat food amongst some other items) and it was so wonderful to see the garden areas stocked with seeds and tools and other outdoorsy things.
And in the center aisles they'd pulled out all of the storage bins and reorganizing type stuff.
Spring fever is here. Spring cleaning is next.
Quilting progress at the inn!
Several of the March Quiltvillians headed out to support our little local quilt shops. I'm always happy when those from outside our area can visit our local small businesses.
They came home with soe goodies - told those who didn't go that the store was "Buy two yards get one free" and now today the rest are going. LOL!
Those who stayed were busy putting fabric pieces through the machine and displaying wonderful colors on the design walls.
Evidently yesterday was sponsored by the color purple -
As this Blue Ridge Beauty from Adventures With Leaders & Enders becomes a Purple Mountain Majesty.
Moonflower is reaching block status!
Cute toddler quilt with camping fabrics.
My excitement yesterday? Big boxes from Costco arrived with toilet paper, paper napkins, laundry detergent and more supplies for the inn needed to be carted to the garage and put away.
And yes, the cat food from the day before also got put away.
It was a "Do all necessary things before you quilt" kind of day and not that much quilting for me happened, though I did manage to sew up a few more sawtooth sashings for my ongoing log cabin project.
Sometimes the "Must do" things are not as fun to share as the quilty things.
I know folks don't need to hear the mundane like - I went and filled the van with gas.
But there you have it.
Attitude not only will change your immediate surroundings, but ripple over and have an effect on those around you who will also carry it on.
Let your ripples be happy ones -
The new railing looks great - we wanted a railing that didn't block the view but that didn't have toddler climbing toe holds and ended up with expensive vertical wires. I like your solution better, especially with the raised bottom rail!

So glad your "builders" saw the light! That will work out much better at leaf time. If you want a good laugh sometime, watch "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House," especially the scene where Mrs. Blandings tells the painters what colors to get. Mars/Venus for sure!
ReplyDeleteGreat Bargains for those shopping under the influence of their Quilt Retreat buddies! Your honey dos will have to wait while hubby heals. Prayers for him. Nice to have input! We do have good ideas sometimes.
ReplyDeleteHappy Quilting Month!
Great job Quilters! Nice sale find at the local quilt store. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice job of the porch rails--looks terrific!
I like seeing all the spring things in the stores too. Some how spring cleaning doesn't excite me at all though.
ReplyDeleteBless you Bonnie; your blog brings me joy everyday and I hope it ripples over to others:)
