A Show & Share of Beds!

It all started when Jeanette wanted to show me her completed Spider & The Fly quilt on her bed in Bedroom 2 - SO SO SO CUTE!

And then, it became a quilt show of beds, just oohing and ahhing and enjoying what everyone brought to sleep under this week.

The July Quiltvillians do not disappoint with a quilt show of What's-On-The-Beds!

Scrappy Rectangles - I love this!

The only problem? I don't know whose bed is whose! LOL!

Lozenges Leader & Ender from the Free Patterns tab.

Gloriou Millefiori - hand quilted!

Garlic Knots in rainbow rows!

Haha! It looks like Christmas in July is still going on!

A gorgeous Unity quilt.

Jamestown Landing from String Fling.

Hello, Chilhowie!

And more Christmas! Fun fun fun!

The Christmas in July theme continued on the porch as one quilter brought her mom's donated stash to be gifted and gone through by all of the excited members of the group.

Mom is still alive and kicking - just dispersing of her lesser loved fabrics and focusing on working with what she really loves.

And in turn - new life was breathed into the creativity swirling around in everyone's heads thanks to the acquisition of some pretty new-to-them pieces.

Digging and petting!

And yes, plenty came home to roost with me too.  HA!

Fabric fondling makes one hungry! Let's snack!

Gail provided us with a beautiful array of summer delights - check out the shaped breads - quilty style!

There is even a radish mouse sneaking our cheese!

It was a delightful day.  I was sad to have to make my way to the Chiropractor at 3pm - 10 weeks with this healing but still struggling knee and all of the limping it has caused has thrown my lower back out of whack.

Today I feel worse than I did yesterday - I guess that is normal as we move things around and they start to readjust.

I'm sure there will be loads of sewing happening - hopefully some folks got out for some early morning or later in the evening walks as our temps push 90 this week which is really hot for here.

I do NOT do heat well.  Especially after Egypt.

I'm counting down to sweater weather.  That is all.  LOL!

It's a hit!  Thank you so much!

  4. Awe, the bed Show! My mom used to ask the Littles of they wanted to go to the 'Blanket Show' it meant taking a nap, lol. I am so grateful for AC. Went to Chiropractor Tuesday and have a kink in my shoulder blade that makes me want to scream. Not much stitching when I have to be on the ice pack. Happy Fri-Yay!

We do this at our annual winter retreat. We call it a Quilt Crawl, going from bedroom to bedroom noshing, and hearing about the quilts.

  8. Hey if you don't want to take that fabric stash home you can leave it for the August Quiltvillians. We'd be glad to help the cause of getting rid of stash.

What a fun collection! My favorites are those showing off rainbow colors. And what a wonderful gift from someone's mother.

All of my blocks are done for the 4 Patch X, they just need to be squared and put up on the wall to decide what sashing to put in! Have a wonderful weekend!
