Idaho Square Dance, Pennsylvania Style!

20180827_155859

Yesterday we filled our time with the two blocks from Idaho Square Dance from the Addicted to Scraps book OH the fun fun fun!

I love this photo from the end of our class room day.  You can see the blur of busy hands laying down blocks, turning them to make the design.

It took a village!

It was a veritable sweat shop of machines – all 58!

Log cabins in the afternoon!

I had the quilters work on blocks in sets of 4 – it’s a short chain, but we see more progress, and when 4 log cabin bocks are done we can start laying things out:

We had a great great great time!

That’s 4 workshops and one lecture in 4 days – it’s a good thing we’ve got two days to recuperate before we do two more to end this series.  Pinwheel Fancy and Wanderlust are on the schedule for Thursday and Friday – and we’ve got a couple of openings should you be interested in joining us.  Contact Mary’s Quilt Shop for more details!

This morning – out the door early for a MASSAGE!

There really is no place like home!  I’m looking forward to some cabin time during a long Labor Day weekend!

Have a great Tuesday – however you spend it!

  1. I made an Idaho Square Dance for your Quilt Show Episode. Great memories in those scraps. Idaho was my favorite Summer place with cousins in Treasure Valley.

  3. 58 quilters in this class! I was in one of the classes there last year and we were one or two people short of 50 (if I remember correctly). That is a lot of thread, machines, laughter, and fun in one room - such good therapy for all.

  5. I love love love the Idaho square dance... Being that I've lived in Idaho for more than 30 years now. I think I need to make one. Going to need to buy your book, on scrap busters. I am currently doing the diamond tiles, and I think I got more ready to sew than I need - probably a good 4 - 5 quilts worth. But they are fun.
