August Quiltvillians 2.0 and More!

How do you gauge the wind factor in a photo? You look for the flutters and folds and quilters struggling to keep everything flat - no no avail.  LOL!

Such was the case yesterday afternoon as folks lined up with quilts and quilt tops over the rail - and the wind was just NOT going to cooperate!

"Action shots!" is what we call them....but then is there anything prettier than quilts waving and flapping in the late summer afternoon breeze?

Hold on to your quilts before they go flying!

If you look hard enough you'll see some finished Indigo Way quilts along with some more fluttery lighter weight finished tops that were completed while on retreat this week.

At the far right is Dawn's Early Light from String Frenzy.  It turned out so lovely!

And lest everyone think it's always fun and games here - a lot of real life happens as well.

We dealt with a guest's rotary cutter accent that lead to stitches in a finger - a trip to the ER for that because Urgent Care was closed.  Another guest's ear ache that proved to be bad TMJ - also a stop at the ER because Urgent Care was still closed due to a re model, and an hour wait for meds at the pharmacy, and another guest who had to leave early due to a sister's medical emergency. On top of that - a dead microwave that wouldn't heat anything anymore. (It's always something)

And a hubster who passed out at the doc yesterday during a procedure involving cortisone shots into his wrist. That almost ended up with HIM in the ER - but luckily we didn't need to go that route.

Last evening at Lowes choosing a new microwave.

Luckily the old one - the ONLY appliance we hadn't replaced at the inn since buying the place - died on the last day of retreat.

Folks are leaving this morning, we'll get the new one installed today, and it will all be done by the time the Stitch Mob arrives for their retreat tomorrow afternoon.

Oh, and you know that "Sharing is caring" thing?  Now it's my turn to be driver and supervisor while Hubster Dave has HIS colonoscopy tomorrow morning.

So today - it's all laundry, all house flipping and getting beds made by evening time because I won't be around tomorrow to do it. I'll be back at the hospital.

And I'm hoping this next week will be a bit less "eventful" as things go...I'd like to see this together as a top so I can get back down to what I really need to be concentrating on.

The one thing I've had emails on is folks outside of the USA having trouble with the Buy Now button as it uses autofill and as they are international, they then get a message saying that we don't ship outside of the USA.

PDF patterns are not shipped. There is no problem if you simply add the item to the shopping cart, then click to the shopping cart and choose either your PayPal or Credit Card option.  It should process just fine from there. It has something to do with purchasing digital files with the BUY NOW button if you are international.

Do not use the Buy Now button.  Add the item to your cart and then click the cart and check out the normal way.

Sorry for the headache - but give this a try and see if it works for you.

Also - if you've downloaded and can't find where your PDF went on your device - do a SEARCH by pattern name. Most of my issues come from iPhone/iPad users who don't know where to look.

How to find a PDF on an iPhone in Files.

The broadest place to look for your PDF is in the Files app. You’ll be able to find it there if it’s on your iPhone.

1. Open the Files app.
2. Tap Browse > On My iPhone.
3. Search your folders for the PDF.

It’s very likely that the PDF ended up in the Downloads folder, so search there first.

How to search for PDF files on an iPhone.

Using the search function on your iPhone might be one of the simplest ways to find the PDF that you’ve downloaded. Here are the steps for using the search function:

1. Swipe down to find the search field.
2. Enter the name of the PDF into the search field.
3. Tap Show More to scroll further through searches.
