Quiltville Quote of the Day -
Sometimes a complete 24 hour media free unplugging is needed.
No social media for 24 hours. Could you do it? I didn't think I could, but I did.
And then I did it again.
And for more than a year now I've been taking one day a week as "media free."
It has been the most healthy choice I could have made. No regrets!
The internet will still be there when you come back refreshed and a bit more level headed.
Absolutely love kismet! What a fun quilt! Thank you, Bonnie, for sharing with us. Currently I'm still unpacking from a move across country. The sewing room isn't put together yet so I'm quilting up a bunch of tops I finished before the move, most of them your patterns. I have 4 more patterns pulled so when I'm organized or at least able to have thread, machine and rotary cutter in one place, I can work on more. Hope you saw lots of ponies!
yes, yes, yes... media free! not social, or facebook free... but i no longer take the newspaper !!! nor do i watch much news on TV!!! I don't trust what most of them have to say and it's all negative, none of which i can "fix" or have control over in any way... fondling fabric, playing with colors and shapes, following Bonnie Hunter and keeping in touch with loved ones! keeps me on a more or less even keel, and much happier and more content... follow your creative child! Prayers and blessings to all for help, guidance and peace. Cats in Carlsbad CA
Wow! Bonnie just wow! The little fishes didn't do anything for me at last year, I just saw fish. I should have trusted the master. This quilt is amazing! Well done as always.
Kismet is so FUN! I would never have come up with combining the Fish blocks w strings like that. So creative and clever, and it looks amazing! I love how the Random Clams design looks on the neutral string borders - really great texture.
I love your newest quilt pattern, it is definitely happiness, and your saying for the day is exactly what all of us needed to hear, enjoy your weekend!
Love nearly Lemoyne pattern. Media free sounds divine no phone or Computer. I say yes to that. Because I can't make a decision on which quilt to make, I started embroidering a Tablecloth!
I love this new pattern! I love teal, and I've made Straits of Mackinac and several other quilts in all teals. I think I'll finish off my current scrappy fish blocks as a baby quilt using "Little Kismet" as inspiration, then move on to King Size Kismet using all teals and whites! Thanks for the inspiration, Bonnie!
