Yesterday morning was overcast and mild - a perfect scenario for getting those over the porch rail photos that we love to see so much -
I get a giggle from the beeps and waves that happen as cars drive by.
Would you look at the quilts that Judy's Quilters brought to the rail!
They filled up the whole side of the house. SUCH productivity!
No, not all were made at this retreat - some were started at LAST retreat, with the goal to finish them so they could have their photos take over the rail. I love seeing all of these finishes!
Cheddar Bowties from MORE Adventures with Leaders & Enders, Grassy Creek, Jamestown Landing from String Fling and Unity!
Talkin’ Turkey (Minus the geese! LOL!) from String Fling, Grassy Creek, Chunky Churn Dash (Free Patterns tab) followed by a fun sampler by Lori Holt and a red/white snowball and finally – Dawn’s Early Light from String Frenzy! Whew!
Check out this rainbow of scrapiness!
I love this Chunky Churn Dash set with yellow! Isn’t it eye popping? Serpentine Web from String Frenzy, Bitcoin, Orange Crush and Checkerboard Rails from the Free Patterns tab, and a fun 3-D boxes that came from a kit and was quick to sew while on retreat.
Along with the two quilts at the far left (no info) I spy Allietare and our Shoo Fly Shoo Leader & Ender!
And we aren't done yet - because there were more!
Gift boxes top finished on retreat.
SUPER CUTE!
A well loved and well worn favorite, also deserving of a photo op.
All of the Rhododendron Trail quilts shown together! AWESOME!
This was a great Grande Finale shot!
As happens with many groups (It's so hard to plan for mishaps in advance!) Connie was unable to join us due to falling ill - so she kept us up to date with what she was working on remotely. We missed having her here, but it was far better that she recuperate at home.
She finished her Hearts of Hope top, now a bonus variation found in my Solidarity PDF pattern booklet.
And check out where she placed her Ukraine block - front and center!
Rocky Road to Grayson also got a photo op against her back yard fence. BEAUTIFUL!
Connie, you were greatly missed and we are all wishing you a speedy recovery.
Many of the above linked quilt patterns are also available in the Quiltville Etsy Pattern Shop. Books and physical items are only available through the Quiltville Store.
I am wishing Judy's Stitchers safe travels as they make their way home today. Three had left by yesterday afternoon as they had "real jobs" to get back to. Some had left by the time I arrived at 8am this morning. I waved the remainder off as I started up on the laundry and when everyone was safely on their way I came to write this post in the QPO office so I can be on hands to flip loads from washer to dryer. It's a typical Tuesday and I love every minute of it.,
And in a mere 30 hours we'll be welcoming the Pieceful Hearts gals from North Augusta, SC!
It's a wild ride, but so much fun!
Quiltville Quote of the Day!
Vintage basket quilt found in Kentucky.
The best kind of people are the ones that come into your life, and make you see the sun where you once saw clouds.
The people that believe in you so much, you start to believe in you too.
The people that love you, simply for being you.
The once-in-a-lifetime kind of people.
Thanks for being those kind of people for me
Have a great Tuesday, everyone!
